Özet

Bu çalışmada Gazi Üniversitesi Fizik Öğretmenliği lisans öğrencilerinin ısı ve sıcaklık konusunda sıklıkla karşılaşılan yedi kavram yanılgısının iyileştirilmesinde kavramsal değişim metinlerinin etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırma örneklemini, kontrol grubunda 32, deney grubunda 31 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 63 fizik öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak ısı ve sıcaklık kavram yanılgısı belirleme testi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin teste verdikleri cevaplar doğrultusunda kavram yanılgıları puanlandırılmıştır. Belirlenen yedi kavram yanılgısını iyileştirmeye yönelik yedi kavramsal değişim metni hazırlanmıştır. Isı ve sıcaklık kavram yanılgısı belirleme testi, ön test ve son test olarak tüm öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Ön test ve son test arasında sadece deney grubuna kavramsal değişim metinleri uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, SPSS 21.0 istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Betimsel istatistik ve kovaryans analizleri (Ancova) yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda deney ve kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin ısı ve sıcaklık kavram yanılgısı belirleme testi ön test sonuçları kontrol altına alındığında son test sonuçları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada kavramsal değişim metinlerinin kavram yanılgılarını iyileştirmede etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of conceptual change texts on remediating the seven misconceptions of the undergraduate students of Gazi University Physics Teaching Department related heat and temperature. The research sample consisted of a total of 63 physics teachers, 32 in the control group and 31 in the experimental group. Quasi experimental design was used in the study. Heat and temperature misconception test was used as a data collection tool. Student misconceptions were scored based their answers to the test. Seven conceptual change texts were prepared to remediate these misconceptions. Heat and temperature misconception test was applied to all students as pre- and post-test. Between the pre-test and the post-test, only conceptual change texts were applied to the experimental group. SPSS Statistics Version 21.0 for Windows was used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) were performed. The results of the study showed that when the pre-test scores of the heat and temperature misconception tests were controlled there was a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental and control group in favor of the experimental group. In this study, it was concluded that conceptual change texts were effective in remediating misconceptions.
