Özet
Araştırmanın amacı Web 2.0 araçlarının ortaokul 5.sınıf öğrencilerinin ''İnsan ve Çevre'' ünitesindeki başarılarına ve çevre kirliliğine yönelik tutumlarına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Edirne ili Keşan ilçesinde yer alan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı bir ortaokulda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aynı okuldaki 5.sınıf şubelerinden biri deney grubu diğeri kontrol grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Araştırmacı, ''İnsan ve Çevre'' ünitesini kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri ile gerçekleştirmişken, deney grubundaki öğrenciler için aynı üniteyi Web 2.0 araçlarıyla zenginleştirilerek öğretim sürecini tamamlamıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak ''İnsan ve Çevre Ünitesi Başarı Testi'' ve ''Çevre Kirliliğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği'' kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda nicel veriler analiz edildiğinde deney grubunda ön test ve son test akademik başarı testi puanlarında istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir (p<0,05). Kontrol grubunda ön test ve son test akademik başarı testi ortalama puanlarında istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilememiştir. Çevre kirliğine yönelik tutum sonuçlarına bakıldığında deney grubunda istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık görülürken (p<0,05), kontrol grubunda istatistiki olarak bir anlamlı fark tespit edilememiştir. Deney grubunda çevre kirliliğine yönelik tutum ölçeğinde kız öğrencilerin olumsuz tutumu, erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek seviyede çıkmıştır. Bu araştırmada; Web 2.0 araçlarının kullanılmasının hem akademik başarısını hem de tutumunu olumlu şekilde arttırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada Web 2.0 araçlarının kullanılmasının mevcut öğretim yönteminde kullanılan eğitime göre daha etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of Web 2.0 tools on the success of 5th grade students in the“Human and Environment Unit”and their attitudes towards environmental pollution. The research was carried out in a secondary school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the Keşan district of Edirne province in the 2021-2022 academic year. One of the 5th graders in the same school was chosen as the experimental group and the other as the control group. While the control group students taught the“Human and Environment Unit”according to the current teaching method, the experimental group students taught the same unit enriched with Web 2.0 tools.“Human and Environment Unit Success Test”and“Attitude Scale towards Environmental Pollution”were used as data collection tools in the research. When the obtained quantitative data were analyzed, a statistically significant difference was found in the experimental group in the success test scores (p<0.05). No statistically significant difference was found in the average success test scores in the control group. Considering the results of attitude towards environmental pollution, there was a statistically significant difference in the experimental group (p<0.05), while no statistically significant difference was found in the control group. The negative attitude of female students in the scale of attitude towards environmental pollution in the experimental group was higher than that of male students. In this research, it was determined that the use of Web 2.0 tools in the lessons increased both academic success and attitude toward environment positively. In the study, it was concluded that the use of Web 2.0 tools was more effective than the current teaching method.
