This study aims to discover the cultural problems of Turkish Erasmus+ students at Opole University in Poland. On one hand, this study assisted to discover the problems of students in a different country and culture. On the other hand, this study has provided a path to explore the reactions of students when they enter a different culture than their own. Considering the reactions of students while living in a different culture and country, the term culture shock was included in this study. Also, material and non-material cultural elements that help to detect cultural differences were defined. Seven Turkish Erasmus+ students have taken part in this study. In order to collection of data, semi-structured interviews and participatory observation has been used. The participatory observation technique provided an opportunity to determine unsaid points about the issue during interviews. There are two stages in terms of recording personal observations, they are before and after the research stage. After research stage completed, there are some problems detected such as discrimination over language (Polish language), consuming alcohol in order to gain social acceptance, problems related to the Covid-19 pandemic (visa, creating friendship, academic productivity), problems related to grant, orientational problems and so forth. To conclude, Turkish Erasmus+ students face some problems due to changing cultural environment and losing familiarity around them. So these conditions cause effects and students try to find solutions and develop unique solutions for special situations. Students' problems and their solutions have been captured through semi-structured interviews and personal observations.
