Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında 6 ve 7. Sınıflarda uygulanan Türkçe dersi öğretim programında kullanılan metinlerin görsellerin toplumsal cinsiyet bağlamında irdelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılı için Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından onaylanan ortaokul düzeyinde kullanılan 3 Adet 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabı ve 3 Adet 7. sınıf Türkçe ders kitabı olmak üzere 6 adet kitap incelemesi sağlanmıştır. Türkçe ders kitaplarının görselleri içerik analizi/ kelime sıklığı yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan materyaller ders kitabı görselleridir. Görseller detaylı içerik analizine tabi tutulmuş ve her görsel belgenin belirlediği kategorilere göre incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, Türkçe dersine ait öğrenci kitapları ve kitaplarda bulunan görseller kategori oluşturabilmek için genel anlamda incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemine başvurularak, kitapların görsellerinden elde edilen veriler kodlanmış, bu kodlara göre temalar bulunmuş ve düzenlenmiştir. Veriler, bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmış ortaya çıkan temalar tanımlanmış, Tablo haline getirilmiş ve bulgular halinde yorumlanarak sunulmuştur. Çalışmada 925 adet görsel incelenmiştir. Ders kitaplarında yer alan görseller ve metinler içerik çözümlemesi yapılarak toplumsal cinsiyet temsilleri yapılmıştır. Toplumsal cinsiyet kavramının ders kitaplarında nasıl işlendiği figürlerin; birlikte gösterildiği kişiler, figürlerin gösterildiği eylemler, figürlerin gösterildiği mekânlar, figürlerin gösterildiği nesneler Göz önünde bulundurularak irdelenmiştir.

The major aim of tis thesis, is to examine the visual images embodied in the textbooks of Turkish course within the framework of gender equity. The study covers the Turkish curriculum functioning in the 6th and 7th grades in the 2021-22 academic year. For each of the 6th and 7th grades three Turkish textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education for the 2021-2022 academic year were reviewed. These textbooks were analyzed using the heuristic content analysis of visuals, and also word counting procedure in the main texts. The images in the textbooks were subjected to detailed content analysis and each image was examined according to the categories depicted by the document. Within the scope of the study, the student books relevant to the Turkish course and the visuals in the books were examined in general in order to create a category. The data obtained from the visuals of the books were coded, themes were found and arranged according to these codes. The data were loaded to the computer environment, emerging themes were defined, tabulated, and interpreted as findings. 925 images were examined as such. Gender representations were made by analyzing the content of the visuals and texts in the textbooks. The concept of gender is handled in textbooks with respect to how people with whom he was shown; actions where figures are shown, the places where the figures are shown, objects for which the figures are shown.
