Özet

Bu araştırmada, okullarda iş sağlığı ve güvenliği uygulamalarına yönelik okul yöneticilerinin ve öğretmenlerin görüşleri ortaya konularak, okullarda iş sağlığı ve güvenliği (İSG) uygulamaları performansının ölçülmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanıldığı karma araştırma yönteminin keşfedici sıralı deseni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın nitel boyutuna amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi ile belirlenen 10 okul yöneticisi katılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda İstanbul ilinde bulunan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı 50 ve üzeri çalışanı olan devlet ve özel ilkokul, ortaokul ve lisede görev yapan on okul yöneticisi ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verileri“betimsel analiz”tekniği, NVivo programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel boyutuna ilişkin verilerin analizinde ise Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı devlet ve özel ilkokul, ortaokul ve lisede görev yapan öğretmen değerlendirmelerinin yüzde, standart sapma, aritmetik ortalama, ve frekans değerleri kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların cinsiyet, öğrenim düzeyi, yaş, okul türü, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimi alıp almama durumlarına göre karşılaştırılmasında SPSS programı kullanılarak yüzde, frekans, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) gibi anlam çıkartıcı istatistikler ile veriler çözümlenmiştir. Nitel araştırma sonucunda kadegori, tema ve alt temalar elde edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Daha sonra“Okul İSG Performans Ölçeği”oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda, araştırmanın amaçlarına yönelik,“Okul İSG Performans Ölçeği”yardımıyla elde edilen öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda, okul öğretmenlerinin okul İSG uygulamaları performansına ilişkin görüşlerinin demografik değişkenlere göre karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Cinsiyet, eğitim düzeyi, yaş, kıdem, okul türü, İSG eğitimi alıp almama durumlarına göre karşılaştırılmış, İSG eğitimi alıp almama ve okul türüne göre anlamlı farklılıklar elde edilmiştir. Okullarda uygulanan İSG uygulamaları performansına ilişkin“Yönetsel Önlem ve Tedbirler”,“Eğitim Uygulamaları”ve“Toplam Puan”boyutlarında İSG eğitimi alıp almama ile ilgili öğretmenlerin katılma düzeyi istatistiksel olarak .95 güven aralığı içinde anlamlı farklılık göstermiştir. Okul öğretmenlerinin İSG eğitimi alanların“Yönetsel Önlem ve Tedbirler”boyutuna ilişkin kabul düzeyleri (x̄ =3,96) almayan öğretmenlere göre (x̄=3,75) ve“Eğitim Uygulamaları”boyutuna ilişkin kabul düzeyleri İSG eğitimi alan öğretmenler (x̄=3,76) almayan öğretmenlere göre (x̄=3,36) daha yüksek olduğu tespit edişmiştir. Okul öğretmenlerinin İSG eğitimi alanların“Toplam Puan”boyutuna ilişkin kabul düzeyleri (x̄=3,89) almayan öğretmenlere göre de (x̄=3,61) daha yüksek çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. In this study is aimed to measure the performance of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices in schools by revealing the opinions of school administrators and teachers on occupational health and safety practices in schools. The research was carried out with mixed research design in which qualitative and quantitative research methods are used together, and exploratory sequential design, which is a design of mixed method. In the qualitative aspect of the research, school administrators participated in the study, which was determined by the maximum variation sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The sample obtained by using stratified and random sampling method included 497 teachers. In the qualitative part of the research, the administrators of state school and private school with 50 or more employees affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Istanbul were included in the study. Interviews were conducted with state school and private school administrators working in primary school, secondary school, imam hatip secondary school, high school, vocational high school, imam hatip high school, Anatolian high school and science high school. The qualitative data of the research were analyzed using the“descriptive analysis”technique and the NVivo 11 program. Percentage, standard deviation, arithmetic mean, frequency statistical techniques were used in the analysis of the data regarding the quantitative dimension of the study. The participants were compared according to their gender, education level, age, school type and whether they had occupational health and safety training or not. Data were analyzed with meaningful statistics such as percentage, frequency, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS 25 program. The themes and sub-themes of the school OHS performance indicators reached as a result of the qualitative research were obtained and interpreted. Later, with the help of the findings, the“School OHS Performance Scale”was created. In the quantitative aspect of the research, for the purposes of the research, in line with the opinions of the teachers obtained with the help of the“School OHS Performance Scale”, the views of school teachers on the performance of school OHS practices were compared according to demographic changes. Gender, education level, age, seniority, school type, OHS training were compared according to whether they received which or not and significant differences were obtained according to whether OHS training was received or not and the type of school. In the dimensions of“Administrative precaution and Measures”,“Educational Practices”and“Total Score”regarding the performance of OHS practices applied in schools, the level of participation of teachers regarding whether or not they received OHS training statistically showed a significant difference within the .95 confidence interval. It was determined that school teachers' acceptance levels regarding the“Administrative Precaution and Measures”dimension of those who received OHS training (x̄ =3.96) were higher than the teachers who did not (x̄=3.75). It was determined that the acceptance levels regarding the dimension of“Educational Practices”were higher for teachers who received OHS training (x̄=3.76) than for teachers who did not (x̄=3.36). It was determined that school teachers' acceptance levels regarding the“Total Score”dimension of those who received OHS training were higher (x̄=3.89) than those who did not (x̄=3.61).“Administrative Precaution and Measures”(F(497)= 3.313 p
