Özet
Özel Gereksinimli Çocuğa Sahip Ebeveynlerde Öz Şefkat ve Merhamet Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi Amaç: Araştırma özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerde öz şefkat ve merhamet arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırmanın evrenini Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde yer alan bir ilde yer alan yedi adet özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezinde bakım alan özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip ebeveynler oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya alınma kriterlerini taşıyan ve gönüllü olarak araştırmaya katılan 347 ebeveyn örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada Sosyodemografik Veri Formu, Öz Şefkat Ölçeği ve Merhamet Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler, SPSS for Windows 22 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzdelik, en az ve en çok değerler ile ortalama ve standart sapmaların yanı sıra verilerin normal dağılımı için Kurtosis ve Skewness kat sayıları, ilişkisel analizler için Korelasyon analizi ve ileri analiz için linear regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan ebeveynlerin Öz-Şefkat Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 3.18±0.47; Merhamet Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması ise 99.04±9.98 şeklinde bulunmuştur. Bu puanlara göre ebeveynlerin orta düzeyde öz-şefkate sahip olduğu ve yüksek düzeyde merhamete sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucuna göre ebeveynlerin öz-şefkat düzeylerinin, merhamet düzeyleri varyansını %20'sini yordadığı bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Çalışmaya katılan özel gereksinimli çocukların ebeveynlerinin orta düzeyde öz-şefkate, yüksek düzeyde ise merhamete sahip oldukları bulunmuştur. Ebeveynlerin özşefkat düzeyleri arttıkça merhamet düğzeyleri de yükselmektedir. Öz-şefkat, merhameti açıklayan parametrelerden biridir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda özellikle düşük öz şefkat ve merhamete sahip özel gereksinimli çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin öz şefkat ve merhamet düzeylerini artırmak için psikoeğitim programları, konferanslar ve araştırmaların yapılması önerilebilir.

Investigation of the Relationship Between Self-Compassion and Compassion in Parents of Children with Special Needs Aim: The research was conducted to examine the relationship between self-compassion and compassion in parents with children with special needs. Materials and Methods: The population of the study consisted of parents with children with special needs who were taken care of in seven special education and rehabilitation centers in a province in the Eastern Anatolia Region. A sample of 347 parents who met the inclusion criteria and voluntarily participated in the research were formed. Sociodemographic Data Form, Self-Compassion Scale and Compassion Scale were used in the study. The data were analyzed with the SPSS for Windows 22 package program. In the analysis of the data, numbers, percentages, minimum and maximum values, mean and standard deviations, Kurtosis and Skewness coefficients for the normal distribution of the data, Correlation analysis for relational analyzes and linear regression analysis for further analysis were used. Results: The total mean score of the Self-Compassion Scale of the parents participating in the study was 3.18±0.47; The mean score of the Compassion Scale was found to be 99.04±9.98. According to these scores, it was determined that parents had a moderate level of self-compassion and a high level of compassion. According to the results of the regression analysis, it was found that the self-compassion levels of the parents predicted 20% of the variance of the compassion levels. Conclusion: It was found that the parents of the children with special needs participating in the study had a medium level of self-compassion and a high level of compassion. As the parents' self-compassion levels increase, their compassion levels also increase. Self-compassion is one of the parameters that explain compassion. In line with these results, psychoeducation programs, conferences and research can be recommended to increase the self-compassion and compassion levels of parents with children with special needs who have low self-compassion and compassion.
