Özet
Bu tezin amacı, Strauss'un düşüncelerinin derinliğini ve önemini anlamak, onun felsefi yaklaşımını analiz etmek ve okuyucuya bu alandaki önemli noktaları sunmaktır. Tezimiz, Strauss'un siyaset felsefesi sorunuyla ilgili ezoterik ve egzoterik yazma üslubunu ele alarak başlamaktadır. Bu üslubun, felsefenin toplum üzerindeki etkisini ve ideolojik düşüncelerin siyasi düşüncenin gerçek anlamını nasıl gölgelediği vurgulanacaktır. Ardından, Kitab-ı Mukaddes, klasik felsefe ve modern felsefe arasındaki karşıtlık incelenecektir. Strauss'un bu konudaki analizi, modern düşüncenin temellerini sorgulamak için teolojik ve siyasal problemleri ele almaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, modernitenin felsefi ve siyasi açıdan eleştirisiyle ilgili geniş bir bakış sunmaktadır. Bilimsellik, pozitivizm ve siyaset bilimi arasındaki ilişki de bu çalışmanın önemli bir noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Strauss, bu konuda bilimsel yaklaşımın siyasi düşünceye nasıl etki ettiğini ve pozitivist eğilimlerin siyasi düşüncenin özgünlüğünü nasıl engellediğini eleştirel bir şekilde değerlendirmektedir. Daha sonra, çalışma modernitenin üç aşamasını ele almaktadır. Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke ve Spinoza gibi düşünürlerin eserleri üzerinden modern siyaset felsefesinin temel taşlarını incelemektedir. Ayrıca, Nietzsche ve Heidegger gibi düşünürlerin radikal tarihselcilik anlayışlarına da odaklanarak modernitenin üçüncü aşamasını eleştirel bir şekilde değerlendirmektedir. Sokrates'in siyaset felsefesindeki rolü de bu çalışmanın önemli bir bölümünü oluşturmaktadır. Sokrates'in yargılanması ve savunmasının siyasi anlamı incelenerek, Platon'un siyaset ve devlet anlayışına yönelik derinlemesine bir analiz sunulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, Leo Strauss'un Platon'un devlet felsefesi tasavvuruna yönelik yorumu da ele alınarak, Strauss'un siyaset felsefesindeki özgül ve yaratıcı düşüncesi üzerindeki etkisi açıklanmaktadır. Leo Strauss'un Fârâbî yorumunu ve siyaset felsefesindeki anlamıda son bölümde ele alınmaktadır. Fârâbî'nin fikirlerinin Strauss'un düşüncelerini nasıl etkilediği ve Strauss'un siyaset felsefesindeki konumu da değerlendirilecektir.

The aim of this thesis is to understand the depth and importance of Strauss's thoughts, to analyze his philosophical approach and to present the important points in this field to the reader. Our thesis begins by considering Strauss's esoteric and exoteric writing style on the problem of political philosophy. It will be emphasized that this style, the effect of philosophy on society and how ideological thoughts overshadow the true meaning of political thought. Then, the contrast between the Bible, classical philosophy and modern philosophy will be examined. Strauss' analysis on this issue addresses theological and political problems to question the foundations of modern thought. In this context, the study offers a broad view of the philosophical and political critique of modernity. The relationship between scientificity, positivism and political science constitutes an important point of this study. Strauss critically evaluates how the scientific approach affects political thought and how positivist tendencies hinder the originality of political thought. Next, the study considers the three phases of modernity. It examines the cornerstones of modern political philosophy through the works of thinkers such as Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke and Spinoza. It also critically evaluates the third stage of modernity, focusing on the radical historicism of thinkers such as Nietzsche and Heidegger. The role of Socrates in political philosophy also constitutes an important part of this study. By examining the political meaning of Socrates' trial and defense, an in-depth analysis of Plato's understanding of politics and the state is presented. In this context, Leo Strauss's interpretation of Plato's conception of state philosophy is also discussed, and the effect of Strauss on his specific and creative thought in political philosophy is explained. Leo Strauss's interpretation of Fârâbî and its meaning in political philosophy are also discussed in the last section. How Fârâbî's ideas influenced Strauss's thoughts and Strauss's position in political philosophy will also be evaluated.
