Özet
Assistive devices such as reacher grippers play an essential role in helping physically impaired individuals to cope with the challenges posed by their conditions as well as perform their daily activities. However, the assistive devices also come with their inherent challenges such as difficult for people with reduced wrist and hand functionality. These challenges, to some extent, have been addressed through designing High-tech disability grabber aid having reduced difficulties compared with the common reacher grippers. The features developed in this design include electro actuation that demands lesser effort or hand strength to operate. Additionally, this design has customised forearm support that mitigates the stress on the wrist of the user. Additionally, this design allows the claws to fully close in under one second, and the device allows users to comfortably retrieve objects weighing up to 3kg from a distance of around 1m away. The model of the product was created in the CREO 5.0, and evaluate tests using CREO 5.0 as well.
