Özet
Araştırmada 8. Sınıf Peygamberimizin Hayatı dersinin öğrencilerdeki sosyal sorumluluk algı düzeylerine etkisi tespit edilmiş ve dersi alan öğrenciler içinde sosyal sorumluluk etkinliklerine aktif katılım sağlayanların bu değer üzerine algıları hakkında değerlendirilme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel veri analizinde, aritmetik ortalama, frekans - bağımsız t testi ve“öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel”yöntem kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılım sağlayan öğrenciler, 2022–2023 eğitim yılında İstanbul ilinin Pendik ilçesinde yer alan Orhangazi Ortaokulu ve Orhangazi İmam Hatip Ortaokulu'nda eğitim gören 8. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Deney grubu 93 öğrenciden oluşurken, kontrol grubu ise 151 öğrenciden oluşmakta ve toplamda 244 öğrenciyi kapsamaktadır. Çalışma grupları; iki deney ve iki kontrol grubundan oluşmaktadır. Ortaokul kademesinde seçmeli bir ders olan Peygamberimizin Hayatı dersini tercih etmemiş Orhangazi Ortaokulu öğrencilerinden oluşan 1. kontrol grubu ve İmam Hatip Ortaokullarında ise bu dersi müfredata uygun olarak alan Orhangazi İHO öğrencilerinden oluşan 1. deney grubunu kapsamaktadır. Buna ek olarak İHO'da dersi müfredata uygun olarak alan öğrenciler 2. kontrol grubu, dersi müfredata uygun olarak alan ve sosyal sorumluluk projelerine de aktif katılım sağlayan 2. deney grubu öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmamızda, Önder Eryılmaz ve Handan Deveci tarafından birlikte geliştirilen geçerlik ve güvenilirlik testleri yapılmış, kullanım standartlarını taşıyan bir Sosyal Sorumluluk Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu ölçek, ortaokul öğrencilerinin sosyal sorumluluk düzeylerini değerlendirmek amacıyla tasarlanmış olup, çevresel duyarlılık, yardımseverlik, birlikte hareket etme ve sosyal duyarlılık olmak üzere toplam dört boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Ölçek, 17 madde içermekte olup, 4'lü Likert tipinde değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, sosyal sorumluluk konulu değer eğitimi yapılan deney grubundaki öğrencilerin tutum puanlarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir artış gözlemlenmiştir. Değer eğitimini sosyal sorumluluk projelerine katılım sağlayarak gerçekleştiren öğrencilerin tutum puanlarının ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde daha fazla yükseldiği gözlenmiştir. Sosyal sorumluluk projelerine aktif olarak katılan öğrencilerin, bu değer eğitimi süreci ve sürece dair bulgular incelendiğinde; öğretim sürecinin somutlaştırılmasının ve gerçek yaşam örneklerinin doğrudan sunulmasının öğrenciler üzerinde etkili olduğu, sosyal sorumluluk değerini öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca sosyal sorumluluk projelerine aktif katılımın eğitim sürecini keyifli hale getirdiği uygulama sürecinde gözlemlenmiştir.

The study investigated the effect of the 8th Grade Life of the Prophet course on students' perception levels of social responsibility, and evaluated the perceptions of students actively participating in social responsibility activities within the group taking the course. The research employed a“pretest-posttest control group experimental design”to determine attitude differences between a experimental group where activity-based responsibility value education was implemented, and two control groups where it was not implemented and did not take the course. Arithmetic mean, frequency, and independent t-test were used for quantitative data analysis. The participants of the study consisted of 8th-grade students attending Orhangazi Middle School and Orhangazi Imam Hatip Middle School in Pendik district of Istanbul province during the 2022–2023 academic year. The experimental group comprised 93 students, while the control group consisted of 151 students, totaling 244 students. Within the experimental group, there were two subgroups: one with 47 students exposed to activity-based instruction and another with 46 students not exposed to it. The control group was selected from students who did not choose the elective Life of the Prophet course in middle schools, whereas evaluation was conducted on experimental group students in Imam Hatip Middle Schools through compulsory course selection. Furthermore, students in Imam Hatip Middle Schools who took the course were divided into four classes, with two classes receiving conventional instruction and two classes actively participating in social responsibility activities. In our research, a valid and reliable Social Responsibility Scale developed by Önder Eryilmaz and Handan Deveci was utilized. This scale, designed to assess middle school students' levels of social responsibility, comprises four dimensions: environmental sensitivity, altruism, teamwork, and social sensitivity. The scale consists of 17 items and is evaluated on a 4-point Likert scale. According to the results of the study, an increase in attitude scores was observed among students in the experimental group where social responsibility value education was conducted. Moreover, when this value education was implemented in an activity-based manner, a significantly higher increase in attitude scores was observed. Upon examining the process of social responsibility projects and findings related to the process, it was observed that the teaching process was effective on students due to its concretization and direct presentation of real-life examples, facilitating the learning of social responsibility values and making the education process enjoyable.
