Özet
Bu çalışma, fen bilimleri dersinde işlenen fiziksel ve kimyasal değişimler konusunda animasyon kullanımının ortaokul 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına ve fen tutumuna etkisini tespit etmek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın yöntemi, nicel araştırma tekniğinin kullanıldığı yarı deneysel araştırma modelidir. Çalışmanın örneklemi Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı bünyesinde yer alan, Gaziantep ili Şahinbey ilçesinde akıllı tahta donanımı bulunan araştırmacının çalıştığı ortaokuldaki sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşturulmuştur. Deney grubuna animasyon destekli öğrenci merkezli öğretim, kontrol grubuna ise öğrenci merkezli öğretim yaklaşımları kullanılmıştır. Araştırma gruplarındaki öğrencilerin çalışmadan önce ön bilgilerini, çalışmadan sonra akademik başarılarını karşılaştırmak için Bağcaz (2009) tarafından hazırlanan fiziksel ve kimyasal değişim başarı testi uygulanmıştır. Test 4 seçenekten oluşan çoktan seçmeli test türündedir ve toplam 27 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Testin güvenirliğinin sağlanması için Bağcaz (2009) tarafından yapılan pilot uygulama sonucunda, Fiziksel ve Kimyasal Değişim Başarı Testi'nin güvenirlik katsayısı (Cronbach' Alpha) 0.92 olarak bulunmuştur. Fen tutumlarını karşılaştırmak için ise Babaoğlan (2017) tarafından geliştirilen güvenirlik katsayısı (Cronbach Alpha) 0.818 bulunan Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Veri analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Levene testi, Skewnes, Kurtosis istatistiği, bağımsız gruplar t testi, yüzde ve puan ortalamaları kullanılmıştır. Animasyon destekli öğrenci merkezli öğretim kullanımının ortaokul sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına ve fen tutumlarına yönelik istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir.

This study was carried out with the aim of determining the effect of using animation on physical and chemical changes in science lesson on the academic achievement and science attitudes of secondary school 8th grade students. The method of the research will be a semi-experimental research model using the he method of the research will be a semi-experimental research model using the students in the secondary school where the researcher was working in Şahinbey district of Gaziantep province, which is under the Ministry of National Education. Animation-supported student-centered teaching approach was used for the experimental group, and student-centered teaching approaches were used for the control group. The achievement test prepared by Bağcaz (2009) was applied to compare the prior knowledge of the students in the research groups before the study and their physical and chemical change academic success after the study. The test is a multiple choice test consisting of 4 options and consists of 27 questions in total. As a result of the pilot application made by Bağcaz (2009) to ensure the reliability of the test, the reliability coefficient (Cronbach' Alpha) of the Financial and Chemical Change Achievement Test was found to be 0.92. In order to compare science attitudes, the“Attitude Scale Towards Science Lesson”developed by Babaoğlan (2017) with a reliability coefficient (Cronbach Science Lesson" developed by Babaoğlan (2017) with a reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) of 0.818 was applied. SPSS program will be used in data analysis. Levene, Skewnes, Kurtosis statistics, independent groups t-test, percentage and mean score were used in the analysis of the data. It has been found that the use of animation-assisted student-centered instruction creates a statistically significant difference in the academic achievement and science attitudes of middle school eighth graders.
