Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul 7. sınıf matematik dersi“Rasyonel Sayılarla İşlemler”ünitesinin öğretiminde Bilgisayar Destekli Öğretim yönteminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma 2022- 2023 eğitim- öğretim yılında, Gaziantep ili Nizip ilçesinde bulunan Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı bir ortaokulda öğrenim görmekte olan 40 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın deney grubunda da kontrol grubunda da 20 öğrenci bulunmaktadır. Dersler deney grubunda araştırmacının MS Excel programı üzerinde hazırladığı bilgisayar destekli öğretim materyali kullanılarak işlenirken kontrol grubunda ise mevcut öğretim programına uygun olacak şekilde işlenmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan matematik başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Matematik başarı testi uygulama öncesinde deney ve kontrol grubuna ön-test olarak uygulama sonrasında ise son-test olarak uygulanmıştır. Uygulamalar sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programına aktarılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizlerde, deney grubunun ve kontrol grubunun ön-test ve son-test puanlarının karşılaştırılmasında bağımlı örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun ön-test puanlarının karşılaştırılmasında ve son-test puanlarının karşılaştırılmasında bağımsız örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Deney grubunun ön-test puanlarının ve son-test puanlarının cinsiyete göre karşılaştırılmasında da bağımsız örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre deney grubu ve kontrol grubunun başarı testi son-test puanlarında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık gözlemlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik dersindeki akademik başarılarını arttırmada mevcut öğretim programına göre daha etkili olduğu görülmüştür.

Aim of this research is to examine the effect of the Computer Aided Instruction method on the academic achievement of students in teaching the“Operations with Rational Numbers”unit of the 7th grade mathematics course in secondary school. The research was conducted in the 2022-2023 academic year with 40 students studying at a secondary school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Nizip district of Gaziantep province. Quasi-experimental design, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. There are 20 students in both the experimental group and the control group of the research. While the lessons were taught in the experimental group using computer-aided teaching material prepared by the researcher on the MS Excel program, in the control group they were taught in accordance with the current curriculum. A mathematics achievement test prepared by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the study. Mathematics achievement test was applied to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test before the application and as a post-test after the application. The data obtained as a result of the applications were analyzed by transferring the SPSS package program. In the analyses, dependent samples t-test was used to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group and the control group. Independent samples t-test was used to compare the pre-test scores and post-test scores of the experimental and control groups. Independent samples t-test was also used to compare the pre-test scores and post-test scores of the experimental group according to gender.According to the results, a significant difference was observed in the achievement test post-test scores of the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group. As a result, it was seen that the computer-assisted teaching method was more effective than the current curriculum in increasing the academic success of 7th grade students in mathematics.
