Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Türkçe dersinde kullanılan bibliyoterapi yönteminin öğrencilerin empatik eğilim ve ders başarısına etkilerini araştırmaktır. Çalışma 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında Siirt Merkez'de Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 6. sınıf öğrencileri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın araştırma kısmında 20 kişiden oluşan 6. sınıf öğrencileri ile çalışma grubu oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada ön test, son test analizleri uygulanarak deneysel bir çalışma oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmada Bryant (1982) tarafından geliştirilen ''Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Empati Ölçeği Türkiye Formu'' ve ''Ka-Si Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği Ergen Formu'' tercih edilmiştir. 21 maddeden oluşan“Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Empati Ölçeği Türkiye Formu”çocukların kolaylıkla yanıtlayabilmeleri açısından ikili likert tipli evet- hayır cevap formu şeklindedir.“Ka-Si Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği”ise 17 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi için istatistiksel paket programları kullanılmış.Araştırma sonucunda bibliyoterapi yönteminin uygulandığı deney grubu ile kontrol grubu arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark elde edilmiştir. Bu öğrecilerin çalışma sonucunda empatik becerilerinin ortaya çıktığı saptanmıştır. Çalışmada araştırılan demografik özelliklerden cinsiyet, anne-baba eğitim durumları gibi özellikler bakımından gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken evde kütüphane olup olmaması gibi özelliğin Türkçe dersi başarısına etkisi açısından çalışma yapılan deney grubu üzerinde anlamlı farklılığa varıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is: to investigate the effects of bibliotherapy, a method to be used in Turkish lessons, on students' empathic tendencies and academic success. Our study was conducted with sixth-grade students enrolled at the Middle School in Siirt City, during the 2022-2023 academic year under the Ministry of National Education. In the research, an experiment study was formed by applying pre-test and post-test analyses. In the study;“Empathy Scale for Children and Adolescents Turkey Form”and the“Ka-Si Emphatic Tendency Scale Turkey Form”were chosen. The Empathy Scale for Children and Adolescents, developed by Bryant(1982), is presented in a binary Likert-type, yes-no response format for easy comprehension and response by children. In the research section of the study, a sample group was formed with 6th-grade students, consisting of 20 inviduals. The Empathy Scale for Children and Adolescents used in the study consists of a total 21 items, while the Ka-Si scale comprises 17 items. Statistical package programs were utilized for the analysis of the obtained data, tabulated result of the research indicated a significant difference in favor of the experimental group, where the application of biblio-therapy within the context of the empathy scale for children behaviors compared to the control group that did not undergo the same treatment through this study, it was determined that empathic skills emerged in these students as a result of their work. While no significant diferences were found among the groups concerning demographic characteristics such as gender parental education levels and other factors like the presence of a library at home yielded a significant difference iin terms of Turkish language performance among the students involved in the study.
