Özet

Bu araştırmada, Türkiye'de tenisin yönetsel sorunlarının, bu alanda çalışan spor yöneticileri ve milli takımlarda görev almış antrenörlerin bakış açısıyla tespit edilmesi ve çözüm önerilerinin ortaya konularak bu konuda hızlı ve doğru adımlar atılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Amaçlı örneklemenin bir alt çeşidi olan ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiş, tenis alanında çalışan 6 spor yöneticisi ve 5 milli takım antrenörü araştırmaya katılım göstermiştir. Verilerin toplanma aşamasında kullanılmak üzere araştırmacı tarafından birer adet yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ve kişisel bilgi formu hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan bu form, önce pilot bir çalışmada kullanılmış sonra yapılan analizler ve uzman görüşleri neticesinde son halini almış ve 9 adet kişisel bilgiler, 12 adet mülakat ve 12 adet takip sorusundan oluşan bir form elde edilmiştir. Görüşmelerde veri kaybına sebebiyet vermemek amacıyla ses kaydı alınmış ve notlar tutulmuştur. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler bilgisayara aktarılmış ve Nvivo-10 programı aracılığı ile betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak çözümlenmiş, kod ve tema çerçevesi oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada katılımcıların, Türkiye'de tenisin bilinirliği, teniste pahalılık algısı, tenisin medyadaki konumu, antrenör eğitimi, alt yapılar ve performans eğitimi, spor yöneticisi eğitimi, TTF yönetimi, tenis özelinde alınması gereken kararlar, teknolojik gelişmelerin tenise etkisi, tenisin dünyadaki ve Türkiye'deki geleceği, yönetici ve antrenör adaylarına tavsiye konularıyla ilgili düşünceleri alınmıştır. Yapılan görüşmeler neticesinde belirlenen öncelikli sorunların; liyakatsiz yöneticilerin göreve getirilmesi, mili eğitim sisteminin spora engel teşkil etmesi, tesisleşmenin çok yetersiz olması, antrenör kalitesinin düşük olması, akademi sisteminin yaygınlaşmaması, sponsorluğun özendirici olmaması ve tur koçluğu yapabilecek antrenör bulunmaması olarak tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda; öncelikle tüm kademelerde görev alacak yöneticilerin liyakat kriterleri esas alınarak iş başına getirilmesi, sporcu sayısının ve antrenör kalitesinin tetikleyicisi olarak tenis kortu sayılarının Avrupa düzeyine yükseltilmesi, Milli Eğitim sisteminin sporcu kariyerini destekleyecek şekilde düzenlenmesi ve üniversiteler arası eğitim dengesizliklerinin giderilmesi ve antrenör kalitesinin artırılması adına tenis uzmanlık dersi açmak isteyen fakültelerin TTF tarafından akredite edilmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu önerilerin, Türkiye'de tenisin gelişimine katkı sağlayacağı ve Türk spor yönetimindeki kronikleşmiş sorunların çözümüne destek olabileceği düşünülmektedir.

In this research, it is aimed to identify the managerial problems of tennis in Turkey from the perspective of sports managers working in this field and coaches who have worked in national teams, and to take quick and correct steps in this regard by putting forward solution suggestions. In the research, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Six sports managers and five national team coaches working in the field of tennis participated in the research, determined according to the criterion sampling method, which is a subtype of purposeful sampling. A semi-structured interview form and a personal information form were prepared by the researcher to be used during the data collection phase. This prepared form was used in a pilot study. This prepared form was first used in a pilot study and then took its final form as a result of the analyses and expert opinions. Then a form consisting of 9 personal information, 12 interview and 12 follow-up questions was obtained. In order to avoid data loss during the interviews, audio recordings were made and notes were taken. The data obtained from the interviews were transferred to the pc and analyzed using the descriptive analysis method via the Nvivo-10 program, and a code and theme framework were created. In the research, the participants' opinions were obtained on the awareness of tennis in Turkey, the perception of the high cost of tennis, the position of tennis in the media, coach training, infrastructure and performance training, sports manager education, TTF management, decisions to be taken specifically for tennis, the effect of technological developments on tennis, the future of tennis in the world and in Turkey, and advice to manager and coach candidates. As a result of the interviews, the priority problems identified were; appointment of incompetent managers, the national education system being an obstacle to sports, the facilities being very inadequate, the quality of coaches being low, the academy system not being widespread, sponsorship not being encouraging and the lack of coaches who can be tour coaches. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data; first of all, it is important that managers who will take office at all levels are appointed based on merit criteria, the number of tennis courts is increased to European levels as a trigger for the number of athletes and the quality of coaches, the National Education system is organized in a way that supports the career of athletes, and faculties that want to open tennis specialization courses are accredited by TTF in order to eliminate the imbalances in education between universities and to increase the quality of coaches. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data; first of all, it is important that managers who will take office at all levels are appointed based on merit criteria, the number of tennis courts is increased to European levels as a trigger for the number of athletes and the quality of coaches, the National Education system is organized in a way that supports the career of athletes, and faculties that want to open tennis specialization classes are accredited by TTF in order to eliminate the imbalances in education between universities and to increase the quality of coaches. It is thought that these suggestions will contribute to the development of tennis in Turkey and support the solution of chronic problems in Turkish sports management.
