Özet
Kimya Dersinde Değerler Eğitimine Yönelik Çevrim İçi Bir Hizmet İçi Eğitim Programının Geliştirilmesi Bir toplumun geleceği iyi yetişmiş ve ahlaki değerlere sahip insanlara bağlı olduğundan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB), değerler ve değer eğitimini öğretim programlarının odaklarından biri yapmıştır. Öğretim programlarında yer verilen değerler ve değer eğitimi ile Türk Eğitim Sistemi'nde büyük bir dönüşümün gerçekleşmesi beklenmektedir. Bu dönüşümün gerçekleşmesi programların başarılı bir şekilde uygulanmasına; programların başarılı bir şekilde uygulanması da eğitim sisteminin uygulayıcısı konumundaki öğretmenlerin kullandıkları öğrenme-öğretme etkinliklerini bu programlarla hedeflenen şekilde uygulamasına bağlıdır. Öğretmenlerin; bu yeni rollerinde başarılı olabilmeleri için hizmet öncesi eğitim çok önemlidir. Öğretmenlerin kendi alanlarında daima daha güçlü, gayretli ve gelişme sağlayan kişiler olarak görev yapabilmeleri için hizmet öncesi eğitiminin devamında hizmet içi eğitimle de desteklenmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda, öğretmenlerin öğretim programlarında yer almaya başlayan değerler eğitimine yönelik rollerine daha kolay uyum sağlamaları amacıyla öğretim programlarının benimsediği değerler ve değer eğitimi konularında mesleki gelişimleri için Hizmet İçi Eğitim (HİE) çalışmalarına ihtiyaçları olduğu aşikârdır. Bu ihtiyaç doğrultusunda kimya öğretmenleri için; • Kimya Dersi Öğretim Programı'nın benimsediği değerler ve değer eğitimi, • Değerler eğitiminde kullanılacak yaklaşım, yöntem ve teknikler, • Kimya öğretimine değer eğitimini bütünleştirme etkinlikleri tasarlayabilme konularında çevrim içi HİE programı geliştirilmiş ve bu programın öğretmenlerin görüş, yeterlik ve tutumlarına etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma, seçilen bir durumun ayrıntılı bir şekilde araştırılmasına ve nicel-nitel tekniklerin bir arada kullanılmasına olanak veren araçsal durum çalışması metodolojisine göre tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında geliştirilen çevrim içi HİE'nin pilot uygulaması Trabzon ve Ordu illerinde görev yapan kimya öğretmenleri ile asıl uygulaması ise Trabzon, Giresun, Samsun ve Manisa illerinde görev yapan kimya öğretmenleri ile yürütülmüştür. Pilot ve asıl uygulamalarda veriler; ders gözlem formu, etkinlik değerlendirme formu, tutum ölçeği ve yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları ile elde edilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen nitel veriler betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmada kullanılan değerler eğitimi tutum ölçeği verilerinin analiz işlemlerinde SPSS paket programı ve nonparametrik istatistik tekniklerinden olan Friedman varyans analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda, çevrim içi HİE programının; Kimya Dersi Öğretim Programı'nın benimsediği değerler ve değerler eğitimi, değerler eğitiminde kullanılabilecek yaklaşım, yöntem ve teknikler ve kimya öğretimine değer eğitimini bütünleştirme etkinlikleri tasarlayabilme konularında kimya öğretmenlerinin görüş, yeterlik ve tutumları üzerinde olumlu etkilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu duruma çevrim içi HİE'ye dahil edilen birçok özelliğin yanında program kapsamında geliştirilen“Kimya Öğretimine Değer Eğitimini Bütünleştirme (KİDEB) Modeli”nin ve uygulanma aşamasında Rogers'ın Yeniliğin Yayılımı Kuramı'nın temel alınması kaynak gösterilmiştir.

Developing a Professional Development Program on Value Education in Chemistry Teaching Since the future of a society depends on well-educated people with moral and ethical values, the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) has made values and value education one of the focal points of all curricula. A major transformation is expected to take place in the Turkish Education System by integrating the values and value education in curricula including the chemistry curriculum. The realization of this transformation depends on the successful implementation of the curricula, and the successful implementation of the curricula depends on the implementation of the learning-teaching activities used by the teachers, who are the implementers of the education system, in the targeted manner with these programs. Pre-service teacher education is very important for teachers to be successful in this transformation. In order for teachers to always serve as stronger, more diligent and more developing individuals in their fields, they need to be supported with in-service or professional training programs after their pre-service education. In this context; it is obvious that teachers need Professional Training (PT) programs for their professional development in the values and value education adopted by the curriculum in order to adapt to their changing roles more easily. Therefore, in order for chemistry teachers to teach in accordance with the the Chemistry Curriculum, an online PT program was developed to address following aspects: • The values and value education adopted by the Chemistry Curriculum, • The approach, method and techniques used in values education, • Designing activities to integrate values education with chemistry education The online PT program was examined by investigating teachers' views, skills and attitudes. This study was designed according to the instrumental case study methodology that allows a selected case to be investigated in detail and to use quantitative and qualitative techniques together. The pilot implementation of the online PT program was developed within the scope of the study was carried out with chemistry teachers working in Trabzon and Ordu provinces, and the main implementation was carried out with chemistry teachers working in Trabzon, Giresun, Samsun and Manisa provinces. In the pilot and main implementation, the data were obtained with an observation form, an activity evaluation form, an attitude scale and an semi-structured interview protocol. The qualitative data obtained in the study were subjected to descriptive analysis. In the analysis processes of the values education attitude scale data used in the study, SPSS package program and Friedman variance analysis technique, which is one of the nonparametric statistics techniques, were used. It was found that the online PT program has positive effects on the views, skills and attitudes of chemistry teachers in terms of the values and value education adopted by the Chemistry Curriculum. In addition to the many features included in the online PT program, the“Integration of Value Education into Chemistry Education (KIDEB) model”developed within the scope of this study and the use of Rogers' diffusion of innovation theory as a basis in the implementation phase are noted as the sources for this success.
