Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmada ebelerin cinsel danışmanlık konusundaki deneyimlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenolojik (olgu bilim) yöntemi ile Haziran-Ağustos 2023 tarihlerinde Sakarya Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesinde Kadın Doğum ve Çocuk Ek Hizmet Binası, kadın hastalıkları ve doğum servisinde yürütüldü. Araştırma örneklemini araştırmaya dahil edilme kriterini karşılayan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 22 ebe oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri,“Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu”ve“Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu”kullanılarak yüz yüze olarak gerçekleştirildi. Verilerin analizinde MAXQDA Analitics Pro2020 programı kullanıldı. Bulgular: Ebelerin cinsel danışmanlık deneyimleri ile ilişkin anlatıları; Cinsel Danışmanlık Hizmeti, Danışmanlık Sürecini Değerlendirme, Danışmanlık Sürecindeki Sorunlar ve Öneriler olmak üzere 3 tema olarak belirlendi. Bu temaları oluşturan 9 kategori; cinsel danışmanlık hizmetinin verildiği aşama, danışmanlık hizmet içeriği, ebelik mesleğinin cinsel danışmanlıktaki rolü, ebenin konuyla ilgili yetkinliği, danışmanlığa ayrılan süreyi değerlendirme, ebeye ait zorluklar, gebeye ait zorluklar, çevresel zorluklar ve çözüm önerileri olarak belirlendi. Sonuç: Bu araştırmanın bulgularına göre ebelerin cinsel danışmanlık hizmetinde korunma yöntemleri ve aile planlamasından daha çok bahsettiği belirlendi. Ebeler cinsel danışmanlık hizmetinin kendi rol ve sorumluluklarında olduğunu bildirdi. Utanma/çekinme kodunun cinsel danışmanlık hizmet sunumunda gebeye ait zorluklar arasında en sık tekrar eden kod olduğu belirlendi. Ebeler kapsamlı eğitim sunabildiklerinde kadın sağlığını iyileştirebileceklerini çözüm önerileri temasında bildirdi.

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to reveal the experiences of midwives on sexual counseling. Method: It was carried out in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Annex Service Building of Sakarya Training and Research Hospital between June and August 2023 with the phenomenological method, one of the qualitative research methods. The sample of the study consisted of 22 midwives who met the inclusion criteria and agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected face-to-face using the“Descriptive Characteristic Form”and“Semi-structured Interview Form”. MAXQDA Analitics Pro2020 programme was used for data analysis. Results: Midwives' narratives about their sexual counselling experiences were determined as 3 themes: Sexual Counselling Service, Evaluation of the Counselling Process, Problems Experienced in the Counselling Process and Suggestions. The 9 categories that make up these themes are; The phase at which sexual counseling service is provided, the content of the counseling service, the role of the midwifery profession in sexual counseling, the competence of the midwife on the subject, the evaluation of the time allocated to counseling, the difficulties of the midwife, the difficulties of the pregnant woman, environmental difficulties and solution suggestions. Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, midwives mentioned contraceptive methods and family planning more in sexual counselling services. Midwives reported that sexual counselling was within their role and responsibility. It was determined that the code of embarrassment/shame was the most frequently recurring code among the difficulties encountered in the provision of sexual counselling services. In the theme of wishes and suggestions, midwives stated that they could improve women's health if they could provide comprehensive training.
