Özet
Doku, eserin sadece görsel değil, aynı zamanda dokunsal bir öğesi olarak sanatın anlatım gücünü zenginleştiren temel unsurlardan biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Farkli disiplinlerden, özellikle plastik sanatlarda, doku kullanımı özellikle eserin estetik değerine katkı sağlamanın yanı sıra, izleyici ile kurulan etkileşimini de derinleştirmektedir. Doku, sanatçının yaratım sürecinde formu şekillendirme ve anlam katma aracı olarak çok yönlü bir işlev üstlenir. Bu araştırmada, seramik sanatında doku kullanımının önemine ve bu sanat dalında dokunun nasıl sanatsal bir ifade aracı olarak kullanıldığına odaklanılmıştır. Seramikte yüzeyin ve biçimin yanı sıra doku kullanımının sanatsal değerin önemli bir bileşeni olduğu vurgulanmış; sanatçı eserlerinden örneklerle yüzeyin dokusal zenginliği tartışılmıştır. Seramik sanatında dokunun, sanatçının anlatımına, eserine kattığı duyguya, mekansal uyuma ve üsluba göre değişkenlik gösterdiği, ayrıca, her sanatçının dokuyu kullanma biçimi ve dokusal mudahalesinin amacınin, sanatçının kişisel üslubuna ve sanatsal yaklaşımına göre farklılaştığı belirtilmiştir. Araştırmada, seramik sanatında dokunun malzeme ile olan ilişkisi de önemli bir başlık olarak ele alınmıştır. Kılın doğal yapısının dokusal yüzeyler oluşturma sürecinde sağladığı olanaklar, bu sanat dalında organik ve inorganik dokuların nasıl üretildiğini açıklamıştır. Kuruma, pişirme ve sırlama gibi disipline özgü süreçlerin dokusal yüzeylerin nihai görünümü üzerindeki etkisi değerlendirilerek, sanatçı örnekleri ve görüşleri doğrultusunda, dokusal müdahaleyi belirleyen teknik ve estetik faktörler incelenmiş; sonuç olarak, dokunun seramik sanatında anlatım gücünü arttıran, eserin anlamını ve estetiğini derinleştiren temel unsurlardan biri olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Texture is regarded as one of the fundamental elements that enrich the expressive power of art, not only as a visual component but also as a tactile one. In various disciplines, especially in the plastic arts, the use of texture enhances the aesthetic value of the artwork while also deepening the interaction established with the viewer. Texture plays a multifaceted role in the creative process, serving as a tool for shaping form and adding meaning. This research focuses on the importance of texture in ceramic art and how it functions as a means of artistic expression in this medium. It emphasizes that texture, along with form and surface, is a crucial component of artistic value in ceramics. Through examples from artists' works, the richness of textured surfaces has been explored. It is observed that texture in ceramic art varies according to the artist's narrative, the emotional impact on the work, spatial harmony, and artistic style. Furthermore, it is noted that each artist's approach to using texture and their intent in applying it differ based on their personal style and artistic methodology. The relationship between texture and material in ceramic art is also addressed as a key topic in this study. The natural properties of clay offer unique possibilities in the creation of textured surfaces, illustrating how both organic and inorganic textures are produced within this medium. By assessing the impact of discipline-specific processes such as drying, firing, and glazing on the final appearance of textured surfaces, the study examines the technical and aesthetic factors that guide the use of texture, drawing from artist examples and perspectives. Ultimately, there search concludes that texture is a fundamental element in ceramic art, enhancing the expressive power of the work and deepening its meaning and aesthetic value.
