Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin göç kavramı ve türlerine ilişkin bilişsel yapılarını ve kavram yanılgılarını belirlemektir. Araştırma 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Niğde İl Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı toplam 11 devlet okulunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma yöntemi betimsel tarama modeli ile yapılandırılmıştır. Kavram analizinde Kelime İlişkilendirme Testi (KİT) kullanılmış olup, cümle analizinde ise Ercan, vd. (2010) tarafından geliştirilen tablo kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, anahtar kavramlardan en fazla cevaplanan zorunlu göç, en az cevaplanan ise iç göç olmuştur. Tüm anahtar kavramlar içerisinde en fazla tekrarlanan cevap savaş, en az tekrarlanan ise kentleşme olmuştur. Cümle düzeyinde bilimsel bilgi içeren cümle sayısının en fazla, yüzeysel bilgi içeren veya bilimsel bilgi içermeyen cümle sayısının en az olduğu göç türü zorunlu göç olarak tespit edilmiştir. Buna karşın bilimsel bilgi içeren cümle sayısının en az, kavram yanılgısı içeren cümle sayısının fazla olduğu göç türü ise sürekli göçtür. Yüzeysel bilgi içeren veya bilimsel bilgi içermeyen cümle sayısının en fazla ve kavram yanılgısı içeren cümle sayısının en az üretildiği cümle içeren kavram ise iç göçtür. Araştırma sonunda öğrencilerin kavramları kazanma düzeylerinin belirlenerek öğretim faaliyetlerinde kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

The aim of this research is to determine the cognitive structures and misconceptions of 7th grade students regarding the concept and types of migration. The research was conducted in a total of 11 public schools affiliated to the Niğde Provincial Directorate of National Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. The research method was structured with the descriptive screening model. Word Association Test (WAT) was used in the concept analysis, and the table developed by Ercan, et al. (2010) was used in the sentence analysis. According to the research results, the most answered key concept was forced migration, and the least answered was internal migration. The most repeated answer among all key concepts was war, and the least repeated was urbanization. Forced migration is the migration type with the both highest number of sentences containing scientific knowledge at the sentence level and the lowest number of sentences containing superficial knowledge or not containing scientific knowledge. On the other hand, continious migration is the migration type with the both lowest number of sentences containing scientific information and the highest number of sentences containing misconceptions. The concept that contains the sentence with the highest number of sentences containing superficial knowledge or no scientific knowledge and the sentence with the lowest number of sentences containing misconceptions is internal migration. At the end of the research, the level of students' acquisition of concepts was determined and suggestions were presented to eliminate misconceptions in teaching activities.
