Özet

Günümüzde teknolojik gelişmelerin ilerlemesi ile birlikte işletmelerin bu gelişmeleri yakalaması, sürekli öğrenmeye ve gelişmeye devam etmesi, güncel kalması oldukça önem taşıyan kriterler haline gelmiştir. Gelişen teknoloji ile rekabet ortamı her geçen gün giderek artmaktadır. Rekabet ortamında yer edinmek ve edindiği yeri korumak isteyen işletmelerin kurumsal kaynak planlama programlarını etkin biçimde kullanıyor olması gerekli hale gelmiştir. Kurumsal kaynak planlama programları ile birlikte firmalar işletme süreçlerini geliştirip iyileştirmekte, proseslerini kontrol etmekte, verilerini kayıt altına almakta, müşteri taleplerini ve firmanın ihtiyaçlarını etkin biçimde karşılamaktadırlar. ERP sistemlerinin verimli bir halde kullanılıyor olması firmaların maliyet kontrolü, stok kontrolü, insan kaynakları alanında kontroller sağlama, yapılan işlerde zamandan kazanma, yönetimsel süreçlerin kolaylaştırılması gibi çeşitli avantajları firmalara sağlamaktadır. ERP sistemlerinde çeşitli projeler gerçekleştirilmektedir ve ERP projeleri uzun soluklu ve kapsamlı projeler olmaktadır. Bu projelerin başarıya ulaşmasında yardımcı olan çeşitli faktörler bulunmaktadır. Literatürde bu faktörler ERP kritik başarı faktörleri olarak yer almaktadır. Genel olarak bakıldığında birbirine benzeyen çeşitli faktörler bu zamana kadar yapılan çalışmalarda ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada literatürden yararlanılarak ortaya konulan on üç adet ERP kritik başarı faktörü hakkında bilgi verilmiş, ilgili faktörler önerilen modelde kullanılmıştır. ERP kritik başarı faktörlerinin proje başarısına etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada belirtilen on üç faktörden proje başarısına en fazla etkisi olan kriter yazılım-donanım uygunluğu olarak belirlenmiş, diğer faktörlerin etkileri tartışılmıştır. ERP danışmanlık firmalarında müşteriye destek veren, projelerin gerçekleştirilmesinde görev alan çeşitli yetkinliklere sahip ERP danışmanları yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada ERP danışmanlarının sahip olması gerektiği yetkinlikler belirtilmiş ve bu yetkinliklerin istatistiksel analizleri ile birlikte proje başarısına etkileri araştırılmıştır. Danışman yetkinliklerinden proje başarısına en fazla olumlu etkiyi sağlayan becerinin danışmanların müşteri odaklı çalışması olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada danışman yetkinliklerinin ERP kritik başarı faktörlerini de etkileyip etkilemediği analiz edilmiştir. Modeldeki analizler için ölçekler oluşturulmuş ve anketler yardımı ile veri toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) programı ile analiz edilerek sonuçlar yorumlanmıştır. İstatistiksel analizler için birden fazla bağımsız değişkenin modelde yer alması sebebiyle çoklu regresyon işlemleri yapılmıştır. Belirlenen faktörler ve yetkinliklerin analizleri doğrultusunda danışman firmaların SAP danışmanı olarak istihdam sağladığı bireylerde hangi özelliklere dikkat etmesi gerektiğine dair yorumlar yapılmıştır. İlgili çalışma yapılan yorumlar doğrultusunda literatüre katkı sağlamak ve sonrasında yapılacak çalışmalar için kaynak oluşturmak amacını taşımaktadır.

With the advancement of technological developments today, it has become increasingly crucial for businesses to keep pace with these changes, continue learning and evolving, and stay up-to-date. The competitive environment is intensifying day by day due to technological advancements. Businesses that aim to establish and maintain a presence in this competitive landscape must effectively utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Through ERP systems, companies enhance and improve their business processes, control their workflows, record their data, and efficiently respond to customer demands and organizational needs. The efficient use of ERP systems provides numerous advantages to businesses, including cost control, inventory management, human resource management, time savings, and the facilitation of managerial processes. Various projects are carried out within ERP systems, and ERP projects are typically long-term and complex endeavors. Several factors contribute to the success of these projects. In the literature, these factors are identified as ERP critical success factors (CSFs). Generally, various similar factors have been examined in previous studies on this subject. This study identifies thirteen ERP critical success factors based on a literature review and incorporates them into the proposed model. The effects of ERP critical success factors on project success have been investigated. Among the thirteen factors analyzed, software-hardware compatibility has been determined as the most influential factor on project success, while the impacts of other factors have also been discussed. Additionally, the influence of leadership and organizational structure, employee training, and awareness on ERP project success has been examined. ERP consulting firms employ ERP consultants with various competencies who support clients and contribute to project execution. This study specifies the competencies required for ERP consultants and examines their statistical impact on project success. Among the consultant competencies, customer-oriented work has been identified as the most positively influential factor in project success. Additionally, knowledge sharing, teamwork communication skills, and problem-solving abilities have also been found to significantly impact success. Moreover, the effects of ERP consultants' technical expertise, communication skills, industry experience, and teamwork capabilities on project success have been analyzed. Achieving successful outcomes in ERP projects depends not only on the correct implementation of software but also on ensuring effective organizational adaptation. Therefore, consultants must provide appropriate solutions to businesses, demonstrate leadership within teams, and possess strategic management skills. The primary challenges encountered in ERP projects and the strategies to overcome them have also been addressed. Achieving success in ERP projects depends not only on the correct implementation of software but also on ensuring effective organizational adaptation. In addition to technical proficiency, the ability to manage change is vital for ERP consultants. Change management within ERP projects includes employee training, continuous communication, and proactive problem-solving to ensure system adoption across all levels of an organization. Resistance to change is one of the most common barriers in ERP implementations; thus, developing structured change management strategies significantly enhances the likelihood of success. Businesses that invest in comprehensive training programs and proactive communication strategies during ERP implementation are more likely to achieve long-term benefits. Another critical aspect of ERP projects is data management. Large-scale ERP implementations require effective data migration strategies to ensure seamless integration of existing business processes. Poor data quality and inconsistencies can lead to project delays and increased costs. Therefore, businesses must prioritize data cleansing, validation, and structured migration planning. Furthermore, data security and compliance with industry regulations are essential to safeguard sensitive business and customer information. Implementing data governance frameworks and robust cybersecurity measures helps maintain data integrity and reduces the risk of security breaches. This study further analyzes whether consultant competencies influence ERP critical success factors. Measurement scales were developed for the analyses, and data were collected using surveys. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software, and the results were interpreted. Due to the presence of multiple independent variables in the model, multiple regression analyses were conducted. Additionally, factor analyses were performed to propose recommendations for enhancing the success of ERP projects. For the sustainability of success and maximum efficiency in ERP projects, not only software development processes but also organizational change and training programs hold significant importance. The effective utilization of ERP systems is a critical factor in increasing businesses' competitive advantage and successfully achieving corporate transformation. Furthermore, this study discusses factors leading to ERP project failures and offers recommendations on how businesses can maximize the benefits of ERP systems. The significance of management support, user acceptance processes, and organizational culture in achieving sustainable success in ERP projects has been critically evaluated. Additionally, cross-functional collaboration between IT and business teams plays a crucial role in bridging knowledge gaps and enhancing system usability. Organizations that align IT strategies with business objectives tend to achieve higher returns on their ERP investments. To ensure the longevity of ERP system success, businesses should adopt a continuous improvement approach, leveraging post-implementation reviews and system optimization strategies. Conducting periodic assessments of ERP system performance allows organizations to identify areas for enhancement and implement necessary updates. As technology continues to evolve, businesses must remain agile and adaptable, integrating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning into their ERP systems to drive innovation and efficiency. This study aims to contribute to the literature and serve as a resource for future research through the interpretations and discussions presented. By highlighting the multifaceted aspects of ERP implementation, the study provides valuable insights into optimizing ERP project success and ensuring long-term business sustainability.
