Özet

Bu araştırmada, 5. sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersinde“Destek ve Hareket Sistemi”konusunun dijital öyküleme yöntemiyle öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, fen öğretimine yönelik motivasyonlarına ve dijital teknolojiye yönelik tutumlarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Yarı deneysel desenle yürütülen çalışmada 22'si deney, 22'si kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 44 öğrenci yer almıştır. Veriler ön test ve son test uygulamalarıyla toplanmıştır. Bulgular, deney grubunun akademik başarı düzeyinin kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı şekilde arttığını göstermektedir (p < .05). Motivasyon açısından gruplar arası anlamlı fark bulunmazken, deney grubunun kendi içinde artış gözlenmiştir. Dijital teknolojiye yönelik tutumda ise son test sonuçları deney grubu lehine anlamlı fark göstermiş, ancak deney grubunun kendi iç değişimi anlamlı düzeye ulaşmamıştır. Sonuç olarak, dijital öyküleme yöntemi öğrencilerin özellikle akademik başarısını ve fen öğrenimine yönelik motivasyonunu artırmada etkili olabilir.

This study investigates the effects of using the digital storytelling method in teaching the“Support and Movement System”topic in 5th grade Science class on students' academic achievement, motivation towards science education, and attitudes towards digital technology. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a total of 44 students, consisting of 22 in the experimental group and 22 in the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests. Findings revealed that the academic achievement of the experimental group significantly improved compared to the control group (p < .05). Although there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of motivation, an increase was observed within the experimental group. Regarding attitudes towards digital technology, a significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group in the post-test; however, the difference within the experimental group between pre-test and post-test was not statistically significant. In conclusion, the digital storytelling method may be effective in enhancing students' academic achievement and motivation towards science education.
