Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Sınıf II restorasyonlarda tek renk universal rezin kompozitlerin FDI kriterlerine 1 yıllık klinik başarısını değerlendirmektir. Materyal ve Metod: 62 hastada 180 adet sınıf II kaviteye 4 farklı tek renk universal rezin kompozit (Charisma Diamond One, Vittra APS Unique, Omnichroma, Zenchroma) ve bir geleneksel kompozit rezin (Clearfil Majesty Posterior) random.org programı ile rastgele seçilerek restorasyonlar yapıldı. Tüm restorasyonlarda mine kenarlarına selektif etch yöntemiyle asit uygulanıp adeziv için ScotchBond Universal Plus adezivi uygulandı. Restorasyonların değerlendirilmesi başlangıç (1.hafta), 6.ay ve 12. ayda Dünya Diş Hekimliği Fedarasyonu (FDI) kriterleri kullanılarak 1 ile 5 skorları arasında bağımsız 2 gözlemci tarafından değerlendirildi. Verilerin normal dağılıma uyup uymadığı Shapiro-Wilk testi ile test edildi. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, normallik varsayımının sağlanmadığı tespit edildi (p < 0.05). Bu nedenle, parametrik testler yerine bağımlı gruplar arasındaki farklılıkları incelemek için Friedman testi, bağımsız gruplar arasındaki farklılıkları değerlendirmek için ise Kruskal-Wallis testi kullanıldı. Tüm analizler için anlamlılık düzeyi 0.05 olarak alındı. Bulgular: 11 farklı kriterdeki istatistiksel analiz sonuçlarına göre, başlangıç, 6.ay ve 12. aydaki kontrollerde tüm gruplar, kırık-retansiyon, marjinal adaptasyon, proksimal kontakt noktası, oklüzyon, aşınma, sekonder çürük, diş bütünlüğü, postoperatif hassasiyet ve yüzey dokusu açısından 12 ay boyunca klinik olarak kabul edilebilir düzeyde başarı göstermiştir (p>0.05). Charisma Diamond One, özellikle renk uyumu kriterinde, takip süresi boyunca istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark göstermeyen tek materyal olmuştur (p>0.05). Omnichroma, Vittra APS Unique, Zenchroma ve Majesty Posterior gruplarında ise zamanla renk uyumu ve marjinal renklenme kriterlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık gözlenmiştir (p<0.05). Gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda, yalnızca renk uyumu kriterinde 6. ve 12. ay kontrollerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık görülmüştür (p=0.001). Diğer kriterlerde gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark görülmemiştir (p>0.05). Sonuç: Klinik takipli çalışmamızın sonucunda; uygun endikasyon ve doğru hasta seçimi varlığında tek renk universal rezin kompozitler klinik olarak başarılı bulunduğundan, Sınıf II direkt kompozit rezin restorasyonlarda tercih edilebilirler.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the 1-year clinical performance of single-color universal resin composites in Class II restorations based on FDI criteria. Material and Methods: In the study group of 62 patients, 180 class II cavities were corrected using four distinct one-color universal resin composites (Charisma Diamond One, Vittra APS Unique, Omnichroma, Zenchroma) and one conventional composite resin (Clearfil Majesty Posterior), with selections made randomly via the random.org tool. In all restorations, acid was administered to the enamel margins using the selective etch technique, and ScotchBond Universal Plus adhesive was utilized for bonding. Restorations were assessed at baseline (week 1), 6 months, and 12 months by two independent evaluators utilizing the World Dental Federation (FDI) standards on a scale from 1 to 5. The Shapiro-Wilk test was employed to assess the conformity of the data to a normal distribution. The research revealed that the normality assumption was violated (p < 0.05). Consequently, the Friedman test was employed to assess the differences among dependent groups, whereas the Kruskal-Wallis test was utilized to analyze the differences among independent groups. The significance level was set at 0.05 for all analyses. Results: Statistical analysis across 11 criteria showed that all groups demonstrated a clinically acceptable success rate over 12 months regarding fracture retention, marginal adaptation, proximal contact point, occlusion, wear, secondary caries, tooth integrity, postoperative sensitivity, and surface texture at baseline, 6 months, and 12 months (p>0.05). Charisma Diamond One was the only material that exhibited no statistically significant difference during the follow-up period, particularly with the shade matching criteria (p>0.05). Statistically significant changes in color matching and marginal staining over time were seen across the Omnichroma, Vittra APS Unique, Zenchroma, and Majesty Posterior groups (p<0.05). A statistically significant difference in inter-group comparisons was observed just in the color matching criterion at the 6th and 12th month assessments (p=0.001). No significant difference was seen between the groups in any criteria (p>0.05). Conclusion: Our clinical follow-up investigation indicates that, with proper indications and correct patient selection, single color universal resin composites are clinically effective and can be preferred for Class II direct composite resin restorations.
