Özet
Bu çalışma, politik ve toplumsal alanlarda ayrı ayrı önemli yere sahip vatandaşlık kavramına odaklanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma Türkiye'de 1980'li ve 1990'lı yıllarda yayımlanan dergileri analiz etmektedir. Bu çerçevede önemle belirtmek gerekir ki politik, toplumsal ve ekonomik birçok boyutu olduğu göz önünde tutulan vatandaşlığa dair farklı açılardan hem genel bir çerçeve, hem de genel konjonktürü sunmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda 12 Eylül 1980 darbesi Türkiye'nin toplumsal, ekonomik ve politik tarihinin bir kırılma noktasıdır. Bu nedenle, 12 Eylül 1980 darbesi öncesindeki genel konjonktüre vatandaşlık çerçevesinde konuyla ilgili tartışmalara yer verilerek süreci daha iyi anlamak ve anlamlandırabilmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada benimsenen temel yöntem, dönem (1980'li ve 1990'lı yıllardaki) dergilerinin analizidir. Bu çalışma tematik bağlamda içerik analizi yapmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, bahsedilen iç ve dış etkenler bağlamında Bilgi ve Hikmet, Birikim, Boğaziçi, Feminist, Kadın ve Aile, Nokta, Sosyalist Feminist Kaktüs, Türkiye Günlüğü, Yazko Somut, Yeni Gündem, Yeni Zemin incelenmiştir. Yazılı basına ve 1980'lerdeki ve 1990'lardaki dergilere yansımış olan demokratikleşme, sivil toplum, çoğulcu toplum, toplumsal cinsiyet, kimlik üzerine tartışmalara vatandaşlık bağlamında bakılmıştır. Tüm tartışmalar, bilhassa modern ulus-devlet içindeki anlamına ve yapısına odaklanarak, vatandaşlık olgusunun toplumsal, ekonomik ve politik olarak eşitsiz bir içeriğe sahip olduğuna işaret etmektedir. Bu bağlamda entelektüel düşüncelerin ve tartışmaların yansıması tarihsel ve toplumsal arka plan doğrultusunda incelenmiştir.

This study focuses on the concept of citizenship each of which separately has a significant place in political and social fields. In this context, this study analyzes journals published in the 1980s and 1990s in Türkiye. In this framework, it is important to note that this study aims both to offer a general conjuncture and to form a general case of different traits regarding citizenship since the have many dimension that can be considered as political, social and economic. 12 September 1980 coup has been a breaking point in the social, economic and political history of Türkiye. For this reason, in order to provide a better perspective on the process, continue with the overall conjuncture of pre-coup period while talking about the main discussions regarding to citizenship. The main method adopted in this study is the researching the period's (in the 1980s and 1990s) journals. This study makes a content analysis in thematic context. In this study, within the context of mentioned internal and external factors, journals Bilgi ve Hikmet, Birikim, Boğaziçi, Feminist, Kadın ve Aile, Nokta, Sosyalist Feminist Kaktüs, Türkiye Günlüğü, Yazko Somut, Yeni Gündem, Yeni Zemin are examined. Intellectual debates on democratization, civil society, pluralistic society, gender, identity that has been subject to printed media and journals in 1980s and 1990s have been examined in terms of citizenship. All the discussions aim at indicating the unequal content of citizenship regarding to the social, economic and political dimensions, with a special reference to its meaning and structure in the modern nation-state. In this context the reflection of intellectual thoughts and discussions is searched by drawing on historical, social and economic background.
