Özet

Bu araştırmanın genel amacı, öğretmenlerin okul kültürü ve okul sağlığına yönelik algı düzeylerini belirlemek, bu algıları çeşitli demografik değişkenlere göre incelemek ve okul kültürü ve okul sağlığı arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Nicel araştırma yöntemine dayalı olarak yürütülen çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2024-2025 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kahramanmaraş ili Onikişubat ve Dulkadiroğlu ilçelerinde yer alan resmi ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenleroluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak;“Okul Kültürü Ölçeği”,“Okul Sağlığı Ölçeği”ile katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine ilişkin bilgilerin yer aldığı“Kişisel Bilgi Formu”kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde hangi istatistiksel testlerin kullanılacağını belirlemek amacıyla normallik varsayımına uygunluğu hesaplanmış ve normal dağılım gösteren veriler için parametrik istatistiksel yöntemler, normal dağılmayan veriler için nanparametrik yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin okul kültürü ve okul sağlığına ilişkin algıları; cinsiyet, branş, yaş, öğrenim durumu, mesleki kıdem, aynı okulda çalışma süresi ve çalışılan okul türü değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğretmenlerin okul kültürü ve okul sağlığına yönelik algılarının genel olarak yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Okul kültürü alt boyutlarında görev kültürü, destek kültürü ve başarı kültürü algıları yüksek; bürokratik kültür algıları orta II düzeydedir. Okul sağlığı alt boyutlarında ise insiyatif yapısı algıları çok yüksek; saygı, yönetici etkisi, kaynak desteği, moral ve akademik vurgu algıları yüksek; kurumsal bütünlük algıları orta düzeydedir. Öğretmenlerin okul kültürün cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, aynı okulda çalışma süresi ve öğrenim durumu değişkenlerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunurken; branş, yaş ve çalışılan okul türü değişkenlerine göre istatiksel açıdan anlamlı farkbulunamamıştır. Okul sağlığının cinsiyet ve çalışılan okul türü değişkenlerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunurken; branş, yaş, mesleki kıdem, aynı okulda çalışma süresi ve öğrenim durumu değişkenlerine göre istatiksel açıdan anlamlı fark bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin okul kültürü algıları ile okul sağlığı algıları arasında pozitif yönde, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve orta düzeyde bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The main purpose of this study is to determine teachers' perceptions of school culture and school health, to examine these perceptions according to various demographic variables, and to identify the relationship between school culture and school health. The study was conducted using a quantitative research approach and employed a survey research design. The study group consisted of teachers working in public middle schools located in the Onikişubat and Dulkadiroğlu districts of Kahramanmaraş province during the 2024–2025 academic year. Data were collected using the School Culture Scale, the School Health Scale, and a Personal Information Form designed to obtain participants' demographic characteristics. To determine the appropriate statistical analyses, the normality assumption of the data was examined. Parametric statistical methods were used for normally distributed data, while nonparametric methods were employed for data that did not meet the normality assumption. Teachers' perceptions of school culture and school health were analyzed according to the variables of gender, subject area, age, educational level, professional seniority, length of service at the same school, and type of school. The findings revealed that teachers' perceptions of both school culture and school health were generally at a high level. Among the subdimensions of school culture, perceptions of task culture, support culture, and achievement culture were high, whereas perceptions of IV bureaucratic culture were at a moderate level. Regarding the subdimensions of school health, perceptions of initiative structure were very high; perceptions of respect, principal influence, resource support, morale, and academic emphasis were high; and perceptions of institutional integrity were at a moderate level. Statistically significant differences were found in teachers' perceptions of school culture according to gender, professional seniority, length of service at the same school, and educational level, while no significant differences were observed according to subject area, age, or type of school. Teachers' perceptions of school health differed significantly according to gender and type of school, whereas no statistically significant differences were found according to subject area, age, professional seniority, length of service at the same school, or educational level. In addition, a positive, statistically significant, and moderate relationship was found between teachers' perceptions of school culture and school health.
