Özet
Araştırmanın amacı bir Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezinde (ÖERM) işitme kayıplı bireylere sunulan destek eğitim hizmetlerinin iyileştirilme sürecinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden eylem araştırması ile tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma bir özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın katılımcıları bu kurumda çalışan ve işitme kayıplı bireylere destek eğitim hizmeti sunan öğretmenler ve kurum müdürüdür. Araştırma verileri, gözlemler, görüşmeler, belgeler, toplantı tutanakları, kontrol listesi, araştırmacı günlüğü ve saha notları ile toplanmıştır. Veriler süreç içerisinde sistematik olarak analiz edilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonrası araştırma sürecinde öğretmenlerin işitme kayıplı bireylerin eğitimine yönelik bilgi ve uygulama eksikliği olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmış buna yönelik eylem planı hazırlanmıştır. Öğretmenlere teorik eğitimler verilmiş izleyen süreçte sınıf içinde öğretmenlik uygulamaları gözlenerek geribildirimler sağlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin işitme kayıplı bireylerin eğitimine yönelik teorik bilgilerinin arttığı, planlama, uygulama ve değerlendirme becerilerinin geliştiği, kurumda işitme kayıplı bireylere sunulan destek eğitim hizmetlerinin iyileştiği görülmüştür.

The purpose of this research is to examine the improvement process of support education services provided to individuals with hearing loss at a Special Education and Rehabilitation Center (SERC). In line with this objective, the research was designed as an action research study, a qualitative research design. The research was conducted at a special education and rehabilitation center. The participants in the research were teachers at this institution who provide educational support services to individuals with hearing loss, and the institution's director. Research data were collected through observations, interviews, documents, meeting minutes, checklists, the researcher's diary, and field notes. The data were systematically analyzed throughout the process. After the analyses, it was found that teachers lacked knowledge and experience in educating individuals with hearing loss, and an action plan was prepared accordingly. Teachers received theoretical training, and feedback was provided by observing their classroom teaching practices during the following process. The results of the research showed that teachers' theoretical knowledge about the education of individuals with hearing loss increased, their planning, implementation, and evaluation skills improved, and the support education services provided to individuals with hearing loss at the institution improved.
