Özet
Bu çalışma 20. Yüzyıl modern resim sanatına dahil olmuş Avusturyalı ressam Gustav Klimt ve Egon Schiele'nin ele almış olduğu çıplaklık ve erotizm konusunu incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Öncelikle çıplaklığın ve erotizmin tarihsel ve sanat tarihsel süreci araştırılmış bununla birlikte resim sanatındaki uygulamalı örneklerine de yer verilmiştir. Bu kavramlar araştırılırken daha çok toplumsal, sosyal ve kültürel yönden araştırılması yapılmıştır. Sanat tarihi içerisinde sıkça yer alan çıplaklık temasının tanımı ile birlikte tanınmış ve farklı dönemlere ait örneklerine yer verilerek araştırma konusu desteklenmiştir. Araştırmanın öncelikli konusu olan Gustav Klimt ve Egon Schiele'nin resimlerinde yer alan çıplaklık ve erotizme giriş yapmadan önce her iki sanatçının da biyografisine yer verilmiştir. Araştırmada ele alınan iki sanatçının kendilerine özgü bir şekilde tasvir ettikleri çıplaklık ve erotizm konusu yapmış oldukları sanatsal üretimlerin örnekleriyle birlikte desteklenmiştir.

This study aims to examine the themes of nudity and eroticism as addressed by the Austrian painters Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele within the framework of 20th century modern art. To begin with, the historical and art-historical development of nudity and eroticism was investigated, along with their applied examples in painting. The concepts were explored primarily from social, cultural, and societal perspectives. The frequent appearance of nudity in art history was discussed through its definition and through examples from different periods, which helped contextualize the research topic. Before focusing on the central subject—the representation of nudity and eroticism in the works of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele—the biographies of both artists were included. The study demonstrates how each artist uniquely depicted nudity and eroticism, supported with examples of their artistic production.
