Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma, not alma tekniği (anahat ve matris teknikleri) ile tarih öğretiminin öğrenci başarısına ve hatırlama düzeyine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. 9. sınıfta okuyan 53 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülen araştırmada kontrol gruplu ön test-son test deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen başarı testi aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Daha sonra elde edilen verilere SPSS paket programından yararlanarak“t testi”yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular şu şekilde özetlenebilir: 1. Tarih dersinde 'Eski Çağlarda Türkiye ve Çevresi' ünitesinde anahat ve matris not alma tekniğini kullanan deney grubu öğrencileri ile kendi stratejileriyle dersi dinleyen kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin başarı düzeyleri arasında deney grubu öğrencileri lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. 2. Tarih dersinde 'Eski Çağlarda Türkiye ve Çevresi' ünitesinde anahat ve matris not alma tekniğini kullanan deney grubu öğrencileri ile kendi stratejileriyle dersi dinleyen kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin hatırlama düzeyleri arasında deney grubu öğrencileri lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.

SUMMARY This study has been carried out in order to examine the effects of note taking techniques (outline and matrix) on the students' performance and the level of recalling, in History lectures. Pre- test and final test patterns have been used in the study carried out on 53 students in nineth grade together with a control group. The data has been obtained by using the performance test developed by the researcher. Then, the lt ' test has been applied on the obtained data bytaking the advantage of the SPSS package program. Results can be summarized in the following manner: 1. It has been observed that there is a meaningful difference between the performance levels of the control group, taking notes on its own and the test group using the outline and matrix note taking techniques, in favor of the latter, which has been determined in the History Class section“Turkey and her vicinity in the Ancient Times”. 2. It has been observed that there is a meaningful difference between the recalling levels of the control group, taking notes on its own and the test group using the outline and matrix note taking techniques, in favor of the latter, which has been determined in the History Class section“Turkey and her vicinity in the Ancient Times”.
