Özet
Bu araştırmada not alarak dinleme tekniği aracılığıyla ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin dinleme becerilerini geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır.Araştırma, Ankara Sincan Semiha İsen İlköğretim Okulu ve Elmadağ Kurtuluş İlköğretim Okulunda uygulanmıştır. Araştırmaya bu okullarda öğrenim gören 102 7.sınıf öğrencisi dâhil edilmiştir. Dinleme seviyelerini belirlemek amacıyla öğrencilere bir metin dinletilmiş ve onlardan Dinleme Testi'nde yer alan soruları cevaplamaları istenmiştir. Metnin seçimi ve Dinleme Testi'nin hazırlanması sürecinde uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Öğrencilerin cevapları, hazırlanan cevap anahtarı doğrultusunda, araştırmacı ve ikinci gözlemci tarafından değerlendirilmiş; SPSS 18.0'de analiz edilmiştir.Ön test son test kontrol gruplu deneysel yöntemin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada, ön test uygulamasının ardından, deney grubu öğrencilerine, hazırlanan etkinlikler aracığıyla on hafta boyunca not alarak dinleme eğitimi verilmiştir. Kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerle ise dersler olağan akışında devam etmiştir. Uygulama çalışmalarının ardından gruplara son test uygulanmıştır. Son test için kullanılan metin ve Dinleme Testi ön testtekiyle aynıdır. Öğrencilerin dinleme becerileri, Dinleme Testi'nde yer alan soruların her biri açısından karşılaştırıldığında, tüm sorularda deney grubu öğrencilerinin son test puanlarının ön test puanlarından anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, deney grubu öğrencilerinin son test puanlarının kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test puanlarından iki soru haricinde (dört ve beşinci sorularda) anlamlı olarak daha yüksek çıktığı görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin dinleme becerileri, aldıkları toplam puanlar açısından incelendiğinde, deney grubu öğrencilerinin son test toplam puan ortalamalarının da kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test toplam puan ortalamalarından anlamlı derecede yüksek çıktığı görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle, ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerine verilen not alarak dinleme eğitiminin öğrencilerin dinleme becerilerini geliştirdiği belirtilebilir.

The purpose of this study is to develop 7th Grades students? listening skills through taking notes by listening technique.This study was applied in Semiha İsen Primary School and Elmadağ Kurtuluş Primary School. Participants in this study consisted of 102 7th Grades students studying in these schools. These students were asked to listen to the text and then answer the questions in the Listening Test in order to determine their level of listening. Experts were consulted in the process of the selection of the text and the preparation of the Listening Test. The students? answers were evaluated by the researcher and the second observer through the answer key and analysed using SPSS 18.0.In this study, pre test and post test control group experimental method was used. After pre-test applications, the students who were in the experimental group were educated for the skills of taking notes by listening for ten weeks. However; the control group students continued their lessons as usual. After all these studies, a post test was applied in both of the groups. The text and the Listening Test in the post test was the same as the pre-test.The findings obtained from this study are as follows:The level of the students? listening skills are evaluated by all of the questions in the Listening Test and it is observed that the scores of the experimental group in the post test are significantly higher than the scores of their pre-test.The scores of the experimental group in the post test are also significantly higher than the control group except two questions (the fourth and the fifth questions).The level of the students? listening skills are examined in terms of their total scores and it is observed that the total post test score averages of the experimental group are significantly higher than the total post test score averages of the control group.According to the findings obtained in this study; training for the skills of taking notes by listening is observed to be significantly important.
