IV COMPARISON OF THE CYCLE ANALYSIS OF GASOLINE AND LPG ENGİNES THEORATİCALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY USING A MATHEMATICAL MODEL (Ph. D. Thesis) Enver YILDIZ GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCBENCE AND TECHNOLOGY June 2005 ABSTRACT In this study, a mathematical model was developed to compute cycle analysis of gasoline engine that works with Otto cycle and its constructive characteristics were known. In this model, with small changes in constructive structure of model engine and working conditions (parameters) and using different fuel (LPG) of which analysis was known in model engine, the engine performance can be calculated. The model of experimental engine was let work using X values 0,95, 1,00 and 1,05 respectively with 4 different trouthle positions and 5 different speeds. At the and the working conditions that are closest the real engine conditions were determined. The experimental engine used was BRIGGS & STRATTON of trademark in the lab of Gazi University Technical Education Faculty Otomotive Depertmant. After testing the model of experimental engine's correctness same proceduces repeated to obtain for the model of LPG engine and the results were compared with experimental engine. Science Code : 708
