Özet
Bu çalısmanın amacı, fen bilgisi ögretmenlerinin kullandıgı ögretim yöntemlerini ve yöntemlerin uygulanmasına iliskin ögrenci görüslerini tespit etmektir. Arastırma için ögrenci görüslerine basvurulmustur. Veri toplama aracı olarak anket kullanılmıstır. Arastırmanın örneklemini Bursa ili Orhaneli ilçesinde bulunan Milli Egitim Bakanlıgı'na baglı bes ilkögretim okulunun 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarında ögrenim gören 350 ögrenci olusturmustur. Anketten elde edilen veriler istatistiksel olarak analiz edilmis ve degerlendirilmistir. Arastırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre; demonstrasyon, rol oynama, laboratuar yöntemi gibi ögrenci merkezli ögretim yöntemlerinin, yeni ögretim programının uygulandıgı 6. sınıflarda 7. ve 8. sınıflara göre daha fazla kullanıldıgı görülmektedir. Bu verilerden yola çıkarak ögretim programının ögretmenleri ögrenci merkezli ögretim yöntemlerini daha fazla kullanmaya yönelttigi anlasılmaktadır.

This study was aimed to determine teaching methods utilized by science teachers and students? views about how these methods are used. For the purpose of this study a survey was administered in five schools in the town of Orhaneli. The sample of this research consists of 350 students attending grade 6, 7, and 8. The data gathered through this survey were statistically analyzed and evaluated. Analysis of the data shows that student-centered teaching methods such as demonstration, drama, laboratory are used more at 6th grade level in which new curriculum is being implemented as compared to grades 7 and 8. Findings suggest that the new curriculum guides teachers to use more student-centered teaching methods.
