Özet
Bu arastırmada, ilkögretim okulu müdürlerinin okul kültürünün olusturulması, sürdürülmesi ve degistirilmesinde ne derece rolü oldugu ögretmenlerin algılarına dayalı olarak belirlenmeye çalısılmıstır. Arastırmanın evreni 2006-2007 Egitim Ögretim yılında Mugla il merkezindeki ilkögretim okullarında görev yapan ögretmenlerdir. Evrenden örneklem alınmamıstır. Arastırmada Mugla il merkezindeki ilkögretim okullarında görev yapan tüm ögretmenlere (Pilot çalısmanın yapıldıgı okul hariç) anket uygulanmıstır. Ögretmenlerden 216 adet anket toplanmıstır. Verilerin analizi frekans(f), yüzde(%), aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi çözümleme teknikleri kullanılarak SPSS 11.00 paket programında bilgisayar ortamında yapılmıstır. Arastırmanın sonucunda özetle su bulgulara ulasılmıstır. (1) Okul kültürünün olusturulmasında ögretmenlerin yasları, meslekî kıdemleri ve bulundukları okuldaki çalısma süreleri ile müdürlerinde gözledikleri davranıslar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmis, ögretmenlerin müdürlerinden bekledikleri davranıslara iliskin algıları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilememistir. (2) Okul kültürünün olusturulmasında ögretmenlerin bekledikleri ve gözledikleri davranıslar cinsiyete ve bransa göre farklılık göstermemektedir. (3) Okul kültürünün sürdürülmesinde ögretmenlerin yasları ve bulundukları okuldaki çalısma süreleri ile müdürlerinde gözledikleri davranıslar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmis, ögretmenlerin müdürlerinden bekledikleri davranıslara iliskin algıları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilememistir. (4) Okul kültürünün sürdürülmesinde ögretmenlerin bekledikleri ve gözledikleri davranıslar cinsiyete, meslekî kıdeme ve bransa göre farklılık göstermemektedir. (5) Okul kültürünün degistirilmesinde ögretmenlerin bulundukları okuldaki çalısma süreleri ile müdürlerinde gözledikleri davranıslar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmis, ögretmenlerin müdürlerinden bekledikleri davranıslara iliskin algıları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilememistir. (6) Okul kültürünün degistirilmesinde ögretmenlerin bekledikleri ve gözledikleri davranıslar yasa, cinsiyete, meslekî kıdeme ve bransa göre farklılık göstermemektedir.

The main aim of this study is to determine the impact of primary school principals on the forming, maintaining and changing school culture based on the teachers? view. The population of this study is consisted the all teachers who were working at the primary schools located at the city center of Mugla in the academic year of 2006-2007. Sample is not taken out. In the study a questionnaire was administered to all the teachers (except for the school where the piloting was carried out) working in primary schools of Mugla city center. 216 questionnaires were returned. The data were analyzed using frequencies (f), percentages (%), arithmetic means, standard deviations, t-test and ONE WAY ANOVA through SPSS 11.00 program package in a computer. At the end of the study, in short, these findings were obtained. (1) In the establishment of the school culture a significant difference was found between the ages of the teachers, their professional ranks, the length of time spent in the school where they are working and the principals? behaviors they have observed, but no significant difference was found among their perceptions of the expected behaviors from the principals. (2) The behaviors expected and observed by the teachers in the establishment of the school culture do not vary depending on the gender and subject taught. (3) In the maintenance of the school culture, a significant difference was observed between the ages of the teachers, and the length of time in the school they are working and the principals? behaviors they have observed, no significant difference was found among their perceptions of the expected behaviors from the principals. (4) In the maintenance of the school culture, the behaviors expected and observed by the teachers do not vary depending on the gender, professional rank, and the subject taught. (5) In the changing of the school culture, a significant difference was found between the teachers? length of time spent in the school where they are working and the principals? behaviors they have observed, no significant difference was found among the teachers? perceptions of the expected behaviors from the principals. (6) In the changing of the school culture, the behaviors expected and observed by the teachers do not vary depending on the age, gender, professional rank, and the subject taught.
