Özet

70 ÖZET Çukurova koşullarında ana ürün olarak yetiştirilen mısır ve börülcede farklı birlikte yetiştirme sistemlerinin tane ve hasıl verimine etkilerini saptamak amacı ile yapılan bu çalışma; 1991 yılında Tarla Bitkileri deneme alanında yürütülmüştür. Deneme; Tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre dört tekrarlamalı olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada uygulanan ekim sistemleri aşağıdadır. Tane amacıyla ekimde; t. Saf mısır (70x20 cm) 2. Saf Börülce (70x5.0 cm) 3. 1Iİ+1B (20+5.0 cm) 4. 1M+2B (20+5.0 cm) 5. 2M+ IB (20+5.0 cm) 6. 2M+2B (20+5.0 cm) Hasıl amacıyla ekimde; 1. Saf mısır (70x10 cm) 2. Saf Börülce (35x2.5 cm) 3. 111+18(10+2.5 cm) 4. 1M+2B( 10+2.5 cm) 5.2M+1B(10+2.5cm) 6.2M+2B(10+2.5cm) Tane Orun Mısır : Bitki boyu, koçan boyu, koçan çapı, koçan verimi, bin tane ağırlığı ve ham protein oranı değerlerinin birlikte yetiştirme sistemlerinden etkilenmemiştir. Tür içi rekabet nedeni ile bitki çapı, ilk koçan yüksekliği, olgunlaşma gün sayısı ve tane verimi birlikte yetiştirme sistemlerinden etkilenmiş, bu etkileşimde artış görülmüştür, tepe püskülü çıkışına kadar geçen gün73 intercropping system. While stem diameter first car height and days to maturity and kernel yield were significantly influenced and increased. Due to intra species competion. but days to tasseling was decreased. Kernel yields were waried between 967.85 and 696.43 kg/da, increasing with 38.97 % by intercropping. Silage Maize: Ear number was advenly affected by intercropping while other characters studied were positivly influencedby the increasing maize plant density due to inter species competion. Silage yield ranged from 4582.69 to 7109.36 kg/da. i ncreasi rig wi th 55.4 % by i nt ercroppi ng. Grain Cowpea: Seed number per pod and 1000 seed weight were not affected by intercropping reduced the number of stem, number of pod and seed yield of vigna due to shading effect of maize while other characters were increased. Seed yield of vigna ranged from 31.25 to 71.43 kg/da with the decreasing with 56.258 by intercropping. Green Cowpea: Stem and crude protion ratios and fresh yield of vigna, ranging from 131.7 to 2410.71 kg/da were reduced by intercropping with 94.548 due to shading effects of maize plants while plant height and leaf ratio were increased due to inter species competition. Land Equivalent Ratio : As far as the land equivalent Ratios were considered LER value from all intercropping treatment for grain yield were hi gher than rnonocrops, rangi ng from 1.47 to 1.87. In the silage yield, the highest LER were obtained from 1 Maize + 1 Vigna and 1 Maize + 2 Vigna intercrops ranging from 1.1 Oto 1.26. This results indicate that the kernel yield of maize were increased in this cultivation system while the yield of seed decreased because of shading of maize.

72 SUMMARY The Objectives of the present study were to evaluate the intercrop combination of maize and cowpea under Çukurova conditionsas a main crop. Field experiments were done at the experimental area of Çukurova University Agriculture Faculty in 1991. The experimental design was a randomize complete block design, with four replication. The maize and cowpea used in this study as plant material. The following treatments were studied for attaining grain and fresh yield. Cropping Treatment For Grain Yield 1. Pure maize (70x20 cm) 2. Pure cowpea (70x5.0 cm) 3. 1M+1C (20+5.0 cm) 4. 1M+2C (20+5.0 cm) 5. 2M+1C (20+5.0 cm) 6. 2M+2C (20+5.0 cm) Cropping Treatment For Fresh Yield 7. Pure maize (70x10 cm) 8.
