Özet
Günümüzde turizm olayları ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel etkilerin bir arada yaşandığı karmaşık bir olay niteliğindedir. Turistik faaliyetler sonucunda meydana gelen bu etkiler turistler, turizm işletmeleri ve yöre halkı dahil olmak üzere tüm turizm paydaşlarını etkilemektedir. Ancak turistik faaliyetlerden en çok etkilenen ve sürdürülebilir bir turizm için desteği olmazsa olmaz olarak kabul edilen aktör, yöre halkıdır.Çalışmamız yöre halkının turizme ve turizmin gelişmesine vereceği faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla Alaçatı Belediyesi'nde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöre halkına dağıtılan anketlerde ilk olarak deneklerin demografik özellikleri sorulmuştur. Daha sonra turizmin ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel fayda ve zararlarını yöre halkının nasıl algıladığı öğrenilmeye çalışılmış, son olarak ise turizmin planlanmasına ve gelişmesine verdiği desteği ölçmeye yönelik olarak sorular sorulmuştur.Elde edilen sonuçlar, literatürde yöre halkının turizme verdiği desteği açıklamaya yönelik olarak kullanılan sosyal değişim teorisiyle genel anlamda uyumluluk göstermektedir. Sosyal değişim teorisine göre birey ve gruplar değişim ilişkisine girdiklerinde ödüllerini artırmak, bedellerini ise azaltmak istemektedirler. İlişkilerin yaşayabilmesi ve devam etmesi için ödüllerin bedelleri aşması gerekmektedir. Böylelikle yöre halkının turizmden faydalandığı sürece, turizmin gelişmesine ve planlanmasına da destek vereceği söylenmektedir.Yapılan araştırmada turizme verilen destekte; gelir durumu, yaş, eğitim seviyesi, kendini bu topluma ait hissedip hissetmeme, ailenin temel geçim kaynağının turizm olup olmaması, yerel yönetimlere ve planlamalarına duyulan güven gibi faktörlerin anlamlı farklılıklar oluşturduğu ve turizmin gelişmesine ve planlanmasına verilen destekte belirleyici olabildikleri görülmüştür. Ayrıca turizmin gelişmesine verilen destekle turizm faydalarının algısı ve yerel yönetimlerin planlamalarına karşı halkın tutumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Turizm planlamasına verilen destekle de turizm zararlarının algısı, yerel yönetimlerin planlamalarına karşı halkın tutumu ve turizm gelişmesine verilen destek arasında anlamlı bir ilişkiye rastlanmıştır.

At the present times, touristic affairs are complex transactions under the influence of economic, socio-cultural and environmental factors. Touristic activities influence both the individuals participating in the touristic activitities, including the tourists and the local community, and the touristic organizations. Among these the local communities are not only the chief assets to sustainable touristic interactions, but also are the most influenced from toristic harms and benefits.Our stduy, conducted at the municipality of Alaçatı, Çeşme, İzmir aimed to determine the factors affecting the contribution of the local community to tourism and to the development of touristic affairs. The initial part of the questionnaire given to the individuals in the local community intended to study the demographic variables. How the local community perceives the economic, socio-cultural and environmental risks and benefits of tourism was evaluated in the next part. Finally, support given to touristic planning and development was judged. son olarak ise turizmin planlanmasına ve gelişmesine verdiği desteği ölçmeye yönelik olarak sorular sorulmuştur.The results are in concordance with the literature linking the social exchange theory to the support of local community to touristic affairs. According to the social exchange theory, when groups or individuals interact with each other they try to increse the rewards while diminishing the punishments. For the relations to be sustained and living the rewards must surpass the punishments. As a result, as long as the local community benefits from tourism it will not withhold its support.The study showed that many factors, including the income, age and level of education, were significant in determining the extent of this support. How much the individual feels that he/she belongs to the community and the family?s perception of tourism as its mainstay also contribute. Support given to the advances on touristic affairs was also correlated to the perception of benefit. Moreover, the community?s attitude towards the operations of the local goverment was found to be correlated to support. To summarize, the support given to the planning of touristic affairs, the perception of harm due to touristic affairs and the community?s attitude to the local goverment?s proceedings seemed to be significantly related to the support given to touristic affairs.
