Özet

Bu araştırma Seviye Belirleme Sınavının söz varlığını değerlendirmek, söz varlığı bakımından kendi içinde belirli bir sistematiğinin olup olmadığını tespit amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu alanda az sayıda çalışmanın olması araştırmamızın önemini artırmaktadır. Bu araştırmayı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından ilköğretim 6.7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanan SBS'nin ?Yabancı Dil? bölümü hariç, ?Fen-Teknoloji?, ?Matematik?, ?Sosyal Bilgiler? ve ?Türkçe? bölümlerinde bulunan tüm soru ve seçeneklerde yer alan kelimeler oluşturmaktadır ve bu araştırma sadece 2009 SBS'sinde kullanılan kelime sıklıkları dikkate alınarak belirlenmiştir. Veriler, kaynak taraması ve 2009 SBS'sindeki tüm soruların söz varlığının metin analizi yoluyla ortaya konması sonucu elde edilmiştir. Veri toplama aşamasında, soru metinlerinde yer alan söz varlığına ait tüm öğeler kendi içinde sınıflandırılarak kayıt formlarına işlenmiştir. Tüm sorular incelendikten sonra elde edilen veriler daha önce yapılan sınıflandırmaya bağlı kalınarak abecesel sıraya göre işlenmiştir. Toplanan verilerin analizinde nitel araştırma tekniklerinden döküman inceleme ve içerik analizi tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Toplanan verileri betimlemek için kullanılan istatistikî teknikler ise frekans (F) ve yüzdedir (%). Bu veriler de ?Sonuçlar ve Tartışma? bölümünde yorumlanmıştır ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This research has been conducted to evaluate the presence of the words in the Placement Exam and in this respect to determine if there is a certain systematic in it. There are very few studies in this subject, which increases the importance of our research. This research contains the words in all the questions and the choices in the subjects of ?Science and Technology?, ?Mathematics?, ?Social Sciences?, ?Turkish? except ?Foreign Language? in the PE applied to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students by the Ministry of Education; and this study has been determined just by taking into account the word frequency used in 2009 Placement Exam. The data were obtained with the result of a literature review and by studying the word presence of all the questions in 2009 PE with a textual analysis. In the stage of collecting data, all the elements belonging to the word presence in the question texts were written on the registration forms by classifying in itself. The data obtained after examining all the questions were written according to the alphabetic order by adhering to the previous classification. Document review of the qualitative research techniques and content analysis techniques were used. Statistical techniques used for describing the collected data are the frequency (F) and the percentage ( %). These data have been interpreted in the sections ?Results and Discussion? too.
