Özet

III SUMMARY In this (“research ), it is aimed to obtain proper and applicable data on the efficiency of ”the teaching technique course“ concerning the teaching methods, approaches and detail techniques that are helpful in the realisation of those conducted for the personnel appointed to the educational institutions of Turkish Navy as instructors each ? year. It is also aimed to get enough knowledge which will be helpful in being prepared the curricula more properly and in being improved their productivity by applying the opinions of the officers, noncommissioned officers and civilian teachers attending this course in preparing the curricula for the following years. This research has been carried out by the Turkish Navy personnel who attented ”the teaching technique courses“ conducted in 1987 - 1991. The questionnaire consists of three parts; In the first subproblem of the research, gathering the instructors' opinions about competence and efficiency of the curricula, In the second subproblem, determining the degree of usefulness of instructors' knowledge and skills in the realisation of their subjects that are presented in their courses, In the third subproblem, getting the instructors opinions on the structure of the course and then determining how useful they are. are basicly aimed. The result of this study may be summarized as follows ; 1. The instructors who have attended ”the teaching techniquesİV course“ have found the following subjects. suff icent and interesting. These are; ”teaching the efficient studying techniques“ ”basic approaches“, ”applicaton and evaluation of the test“, ”types of the test“, ”reward and the penalty“ and ”application of the teaching technology to military academy“ On the other side ”preparing the study plans“, ”technique of preparing questions“ and ”functions of education psyshology“ are insufficient for instructors. 2. It has been reported that the great mafority of the instructors attended this course have applied suck knowledge and skills which have been tried to be acquired through the courses conducted for them asj ”using the teaching methods, chosen by the instructors depending upon the subject's content.“, ”rewarding and punishing the students by considering the appropriate time and place“, ”presenting a good leadership to them in order to become a sample during the lectures in the claasroom following the proper approaches“, and ”Chosing and using the suitable, proper auxiliary educational materials that are appropriat e to the targets and contents of the subject. " 3. Instructors pointed out that the application time of the course, duration. number of course hours within a day, allocation of time among branck subjects and readjusting the duration of lectures is needed. As as result, the teaching technique course programe should be readjusted according to the instructors' educational need.
