Özet
Bugün modern toplumlarda, özellikle son derece gelişmiş ve aynı derecede karmaşıklaşmış olan örgütlerde yer alan insanları stressiz düşünmek mümkün değildir. Yapılan birçok araştırmada polislik mesleğinin, tüm meslekler içinde örgütsel stres yükünün en fazla olduğu meslek gruplarından biri olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Bu araştırmada, ?Emniyet Mensuplarında stres faktörleri ve bunların çalışanlar üzerinde etkileri? incelemeye alınmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde stres ve ilgili kavramlar, stresin tür, neden, kaynakları gibi konularla stres yönetimi üzerinde durulmuş ve stresle ilgili yapılan çalışmalar özetlenmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise tüm meslek grupları içerisinde, örgütsel stres yükünün en fazla olduğu polislik mesleği ile ilgili tanımlar yapılmış, polislik mesleğinin tarihi gelişimi ve Emniyet Teşkilatında karşılaşılan örgütsel stres kaynakları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.Araştırmanın uygulama bölümünde, araştırmanın örneklemini Diyarbakır Emniyet Müdürlüğü'nde çalışan 51 amir ve 411 memur olmak üzere toplam 462 polis oluşturmuştur. Söz konusu personelden anket yöntemi ile elde edilen veriler ışığında, Emniyet Mensuplarında örgütsel stres kaynaklarının, çalışanlarda görülme sıklığı ve bunun çalışanlar üzerindeki etkileri istatiksel analizler kullanılarak tespit edilmiştir.Araştırma sonucu, Emniyet Mensuplarının çok rahatsız edici düzeyde olmasa bile stres altında oldukları görülmüştür. Ayrıca stres faktörleri ve stres seviyesinin amir-memur ile çalışılan birime göre anlamlı farklılıklar taşıdığı gözlenmiştir.

In this age, it is almost impossible to think the social life, exclusively the complicated organizations purified from the stress. Many of the studies showed that police is one of the most stressful job type facing the organizational stress of all those job branches.In this study, the stress factors for the police officers and the effects of the stress over them were examined. In the first part of the study, stress and the related concepts, types, causes, and the sources of stress involved in the stress management were mentioned, and the studies about stress were summarized. In the second part, with one of the highest ratio of organizational stress in all job branches, related police terminology, and the historical progress were described, and also given information about the sources of organizational stress in Turkish Police Department employees.In the practice part of the study, 51 chief of police and 411 policemen and policewomen with a sum of 462 police officers employed in Diyarbakır Police Department took role as the sample of the study. With the direction of the data gathered by the survey method from the number of police officers mentioned above, frequency of the sources of organizational stress seen on the participants, and the effects on them were designated by using the statistical analyses.The result of the study revealed the police officers are under stress but not such an extreme degree. Besides, the stress factors and the level of stress varied related to the ranks of the police officers and the departments where they are commissioned.
