Özet
Altıncı ve yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin sosyal bilgiler dersine karşı tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesinin amaçlandığı bu araştırmada, tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Malatya'nın Merkez ilçesinde yer alan 90 ortaokuldan öğrenime devam eden 17320 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 2013-2014 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Malatya İl Merkezindeki rastgele seçilen 22 okuldan, 1004 altıncı ve yedinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler, 2013-2014 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Birinci Döneminde sınıf ortamında, öğrencilere 'Öğrenci Bilgi Formu' ve 'Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Tutum Ölçeği' uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Veriler, bilgisayar ortamına aktarıldıktan sonra betimsel istatistikleri bulunmuş ve verilerin bazı değişkenlere göre değişip değişmediğini belirlemek için verilerin dağılımına bakılmıştır. Normallik Testi sonucunda, verilerin normal dağılmadığı görülmüş ve bu nedenle parametrik olmayan testlerle analiz edilmesine karar verilmiştir. Verilere SPSS programında, sınıf ve cinsiyet gibi iki bağımsız değişken için Mann-Whitney U testi, ikiden fazla değişken için Kruskal-Wallis H testi yapılmıştır. Kruskal-Wallis H testi yapılan değişkenlerde anlamlı farklılık çıkan gruplar için ikili olarak Mann-Whitney U testi yapılarak, farklılığın hangi gruplar arasında olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin sosyal bilgiler dersine karşı olumlu tutum sergilediği, bu tutumun sınıf, yaş, kardeş sayısı, babanın eğitim durumu, ailenin aylık geliri, baba mesleğine göre değişmediği, cinsiyet, annenin eğitim durumu ve annenin mesleğine göre farklılıkların olduğu bilgisine ulaşılmıştır.

In this research study which was aimed to examine sixth and seventy grade students' attitudes towards social studies lesson in point of several variables, was used scanning model. The population of study composed of 17320 sixth-and seventh-grade who continuing education at 90 secondary school located in the central district of Malatya. The sample study is composed of 1004 sixth and seventh grade students randomly selected from 22 schools in the city center of Malatya at 2013-2014 academic year. The data used in this study, was obtained by implementing 'Student Information Form' and 'Social Studies Attitude Scale' to students in the classroom at the first semester of 2013-2014 academic year. The datas transferred to a computer then was found data's descriptive statistics and it was examined distribution of data to determine whether or not change according to some variables. Result of Normality Test, it was seen that datas distribute anormal and for this reason it was decided to analyze non-parametric test. Datas for analyse with SPSS software, was used Mann-Whitney U test for two independent variables such as grade, gender and Kruskal-Wallis H test for more than two independent variables such as age, number of sibling, parent's education and profession, the famil's economic situation. For the variables that was found differ significantly each other as a resault of Kruskal-Wallis H test, was tested with Mann-Whitney U test in twain and it was determined that the difference between which groups. As a result of this study, it has been reached knowledges that students have a positive attitude towards social studies and these attitudes isn't change for grade, age, number of siblings, father's education level, family's monthly income and father's occupation. But it change for gender, mother's education level and mother's occupation.
