Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı hem ilkokuldan farklı bir ortama ve müfredata sahip yeni bir okulla tanışan hem de Mili Eğitim Bakanlığının hazırladığı bir program çerçevesinde din ile ilgili dersler almaya başlayan imam hatip ortaokulu öğrencilerinin okul motivasyonlarının farklılaştığı değişkenleri tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda; öğrencinin ve ailesinin demografik ve sosyo-ekonomik durumu, öğrencinin din eğitimi ile ilgili geçmişi, okulda verilen din eğitimi ve geleceğe dair beklentileri ile ilgili sorular sorularak öğrencilerin profili belirlenmeye çalışılmış, okul motivasyon ölçeği ile de okul motivasyon düzeyleri tespit edilerek, farklılık olup olmadığı istatiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli çerçevesinde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, Erzurum İli Merkez ilçelerinde bulunan imam hatip ortaokullarında okuyan öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi tesadüfi örnekleme ile belirlenmiş ve 370'i %(47,6) erkek, 408'i (%52,4) kız olmak üzere toplam 778 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Araştırmada, araştırmanın amacına dönük sorulardan oluşan bir kişisel bilgi formu ve Kaynak, Özhan, ve Kan (2017) tarafından geliştirilen, ortaokulda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin okul motivasyonu düzeylerini ölçmek amacıyla geliştirilen okul motivasyonu ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda, tahmin edilenin aksine öğrencilerin ve ailelerinin sosyo-ekonomik durumları, din eğitimi ile ilgili geçmişleri öğrencilerin okul motivasyonu düzeylerinde farklılık oluşturmamaktadır. Öğrencilerin demografik durumları, okula kayıt nedenleri, sevdikleri ve sevmedikleri dersler, din eğitimi ile ilgili derslerin saati, imam hatip lisesine devam etme isteği, din eğitimini ihtiyaç olarak hissedip hissetmeme durumları ile okul motivasyon düzeyleri arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the variables in which the school motivation of the students of the imam hatip middle school who attended with a new school with a different environment and curriculum from primary school and who start to take religious education within the framework of a program prepared by the Ministry of National Education. In accordance with this purpose; the demographic and socio-economic status of the student and his / her family, the background of the student in relation to religious education, the religious education given in the school and the expectations of the future were asked to determine the profile of the students, the school motivation scale was also used to determine school motivation levels and whether there was any difference was analyzed statistically. The research was designed within the framework of relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods. The population of the study consists of students studying in imam hatip middle schools in the central districts of Erzurum. The sample of the study was determined by random sampling and consisted of 778 students, of which 370 (47.6%) were boys and 408 (52.4%) were girls. In the study, a personal information form consisting of questions about the purpose of the research and the school motivation scale developed by Kaynak, Özhan, and Kan (2017) were used to measure the school motivation levels of secondary school students. Contrary to expectations, socioeconomic status of students and their families and their backgrounds in religious education do not differ in their school motivation levels. It is determined that there is a significant difference between the demographic status of the students, their reasons in enrolling in the school, their favorite and unfavorite subjects, the hours of lessons on religious education, whether or not they feel religious education as a need and their levels of school motivation.
