Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; ortaokul 4. sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersi“Maddenin Yapısı ve Özelikleri”ünitesinin Ortak Bilgi Yapılandırma Modeli ile öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına ve fene yönelik tutumlarına etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemleri içerisinde yer alan deneysel araştırma özelliği taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın deseni ise öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desendir. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılı birinci döneminde seçkisiz yöntemle belirlenen Muğla İli Yatağan İlçesine bağlı bir devlet ortaokulunda öğrenim görmekte olan ortaokul 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma 19'u kontrol, 20'si deney grubunda olmak üzere toplam 39 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak;“Akademik Başarı Testi”ve“Fene Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına, öntest ve sontest olarak uygulanan, başarı testi ve tutum ölçeğinden elde edilen veriler, Statitical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) istatistik programında analiz edilmiştir. SPSS programına girilen veriler doğrultusunda verilere normallik analizi yapılmıştır. Akademik başarı testi ve Fene yönelik tutum ölçeğine ilişkin deney ve kontrol grubu verileri normal dağılım göstermiş, dolayısıyla verilerin analizinde parametrik istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar için bağımsız (ilişkisiz) gruplar t-testi, grupların kendi içindeki karşılaştırmalarda ise bağımlı (ilişkili) gruplar t-testi kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun akademik başarı öntestinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılığın görülmediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun akademik başarı sontestinde ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılığın görüldüğü tespit edilmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubunun fene yönelik tutum öntestinde istatistiksel anlamlı bir farklılığın görülmediği ancak sontestinde anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Common Knowledge Construction Model within Science and Technology classes, the unit of“Structure and Properties of Matter”on the 4th grade secondary school students' attitudes towards academic success and science. This thesis study includes features of experimental research whish has been categorized within quantitative research methods. The pattern of this study is semi- experimental pattern with pre-test and post-test control group. The study group of this research has benn created via random sampling with 4th grade students of a public secondary school of Yatağan district in Muğla province in the first semester of 2015-2016 education and teaching year. The study has benn implemented with 39 studentsin total; 19 students belong to the control group whereas 20 students function within experiment group.“Academic Success Test”and“Attitude Scale towards Science”have benn employed as data collecting tools. The data gathered from the research, the success test implemented to yhe experiment and control groups as pre-test and post-test, andthe data arrived through attitude scale are analyzed by SPSS StatisticalPackage for the Social Sciences (SPSS). According to the data taking place in SPSS, narmality analysis is implemented to the emerging data. Normal distribution has been observed following the normality analysis of attitude scale towards science experiment group pre-test data. As a result, parametric statistics are used. Within this study, independent group t-test is used for comparisons between groups while dependentgroup t-test is used for comparisons within groups. It is concluded that there is not a meaningful statistical difference in academic success pre-test of the experiment and control group, however,a meaningful difference has been spotted in academic success post-test. In the pre-test of attitude scale towards science, a statistically meaningful difference has not been found but a meaning difference has been indicated in the post-test in conclusion.
