Özet
ÖZET Turizm endüstrisinin bir kolu olan konaklama endüstrisinin, ülke ekonomisine gereken katkıyı yapmasında, alt yapı ve üst yapı yatırımları ne kadar önemli ise, nitelikli işgücünün istihdamı da aynı derecede önemlidir. Nitelikli işgücünü yetiştirecek eğitim kurumlarına gereken önemin verilmesi ve eğitimin önemli bir bölümünü oluşturan staj faaliyetlerinin sistemli, amaca uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmesi öğrencileri mesleklerine daha iyi hazırlayacaktır. Otel işletmeleri de kalifiye personel istihdam etmekle iyi bir hizmet üretme imkânına kavuşacaklardır. Eğitimin önemli bir parçasını oluşturan staj faaliyetlerinin yürütüleceği otel işletmelerinde, yönetsel yapı ve organizasyon stajlarda başarıyı yakalama açısından önemlidir. Otel işletmelerinde, staj faaliyetlerinin amacına ve ruhuna uygun olmayan yönetsel yapı ve organizasyon, öğrencilerin bilgi ve becerilerinin artmasına engel teşkil eder. Staj faaliyetlerinin taraflarını oluşturan okul ve işletmenin üzerine düşen sorumlulukları titizlikle yerine getirebilmesi her iki tarafin, özellikle otel işletmelerinin, stajların önemini kavramış olmasına bağlıdır. Ayrıca işletme ve okul arasında karşılıklı güven ve saygıya dayalı bir işbirliğinin olması, stajların amacına ulaşması açısından önemlidir. Öğrencilerin staja başlamadan önce gerekli eğitimi ve formasyonu alması gerekir. İş ortamının gerektirdiği disiplin ve davranış biçimi öğretilmelidir. Bu araştırmada, staj faaliyetlerinin öğrenciler ve işletme için faydalan ortaya konulmuş; otel işletmelerinin beklentileri ve öğrencilerin tatmin düzeyleri ölçülmeye çalışılmıştır. Konu ile ilgili teorik bilgiler literatürden yararlanılarak, otel işletmelerine ve koordinatör öğretmenlere uygulanan anketlerle elde edilmiştir.

ABSTRACT Employment of qualified personnel in hospitality industry which is a major component of Tourism industry is as important as infrastructure and super structure to obtain the required lontribution to the Turkish economy. Allocahing the sequired attention to the educational institution which, will provides qualified manpower and achalization of apprenticeinip activities which can istitute important part of this education program in a systematic manner, will help students to prepare themsolves for their job efficiently. Furthermore hotel companies will be able to renter better service to their customer by employing there gualified personnells. Managerial structure and organizational setting of the hotel company has important attributes for the succes of appren treching program which is an important component of total education program. Faltering manaperial structure and organizational setting in hotel companies hindess the increase of knowledge and skills levels of students in their apprenticeship program. Parties that conttitutes of apperenticeship activities, namely school and hotels, should assume their responsibilities, and take necessarry measures. To achieve that, both parties, especially hotel companies, shoud thoroughly understand the importance of apprenticeship program. Besides, it is important in achieving the objectives of apprenticeship program that there exists a cooperation which stems between school and hotel companies from respective honesty and trust. The other issue is that, students should be provided with required educational pre requistes and vocational formations before they start apprenticeship program. The required discipline and benovioral skills should also taught to students.in this research, benefits of apprenticeship program for both hotel companies and students explained; expectations of hotel companies and satisfaction levels of the students also tried to be measured and articulated. The theoretic background of the study was compiled by revievving ali kinds of relevant literatüre and a questionaire was developed for the purpose of field study and applied to hotel companies and coordinator teachers in this field.
