ÖZET Aday Öğretmenlerin 4. ve 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Dersine İlişkin Uygulama Yeterliklerinin Değerlendirilmesi Kenan ŞAHİN Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Eğitim Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Doç. Dr. Müfit GÖMLEKSİZ Ekim 1998, 89 Sayfa Bu araştırmada, aday öğretmenlerin ilköğretim 4. ve 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik uygulama yeterlikleri ve bu yeterliklerin ne kadarını“Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi”dersinde edindiklerine ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma grubu 1997-1998 eğitim-öğretim yılında Çukurova Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümü'nde öğrenim gören 30 aday öğretmenden oluşmuştur. Aday öğretmenlerin ilköğretim 4. ve 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik uygulama yeterliklerini ölçmek amacıyla 47 yeterlikten oluşan“Gözlem Formu”kullanılmıştır. Gözlem formunda; planlama, derse hazırlık, öğretim yöntemi, iletişim, sınıf yönetimi ve değerlendirme bölümleri bulunmaktadır. Aday öğretmenlerin uygulama yeterliklerinin ne kadarını“Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi Dersi'nde edindiklerine ilişkin görüşlerini ölçmek amacıyla 47 sorudan oluşan ”Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi Dersini Değerlendirme Formu“ kullanılmıştır. Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi Dersini Değerlendirme Formu'nda; planlama, derse hazırlık, öğretim yöntemi, iletişim, sınıf yönetimi ve değerlendirme bölümleri bulunmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda aday öğretmenler uygulama dersi yaparken, dersin planlama ve iletişim bölümlerinde yeterli; derse hazırlık, öğretim yöntemi kullanma sınıf yönetimi ve değerlendirme bölümlerinde ise kısmen yeterli bulunmuştur. Ayrıca aday öğretmenler derse hazırlık, öğretim yöntemi kullanma, sınıf yönetimi ve değerlendirme bölümlerindeki göstermiş oldukları yeterlikleri kısmen ”Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi" dersinde edindiklerini belirtmişlerdir.

ABSTRACT The Evaluation of Student Teachers' Practical Competence about 4'th and 5'th Grade Social Studies Course. Kenan ŞAHİN Master Thesis, Education Science Department Supervisor: Doç. Dr. Müfit GÖMLEKSİZ October 1998, 89 pages In this study, the views of student teachers through their proficiency level in practice of Social Studies in Elementary Classes and through the extent of proficiency obtain from“Teaching Social Studies in Elementary Education Course”investigated. The Study was conducted with thirty student teachers in Primary Teaching Department of Çukurova University in 1997-1998 educational term. To determine the student teachers' proficiency in practice,“Observation From”with 47 items that were divided into different part such as planning a lesson, conducting a class, teaching methods, lesson preparation, interaction and communication, and evaluation was used. To examine the views of student teachers' about how much of their practice proficiency is obtained from“Teaching Social Studies Course”,“Evaluation From of Teaching Social Studies Classes”which consisted of 47 items was used. The from contained six different sections such as planning a lesson, conducting class, teaching methods, lesson preparation, interaction and communication, and evaluation. The emerging themes revealed that student teachers were determined to be proficient enough in planning a lesson and in communication and interaction; whereas, the extent of their proficiency in conducting was determined to be partially enough. Besides these student teachers' proficiency in teaching method, conducting class, class preparation, and evaluation was partially obtained in“Teaching Social Studies Course”.
