Özet
Başlangıç piyano eğitimi, piyano çalmak için temel davranışların kazanıldığı önemli bir evredir. Bu aşamada istenilen kazanımları sağlamak için öğrencinin yaşına, fiziksel ve bilişsel özelliklerine uygun bir başlangıç metodu seçimi önemli bir role sahiptir. Genelde enstrüman eğitimine küçük yaşlarda başlandığı için başlangıç metotlarının çoğunluğu da bu yaş grubuna göre hazırlanmıştır. Ancak, mesleki ve özengen piyano eğitiminde yetişkinler arasında piyanoya başlayanların arttığı gözlemlenmektedir. Bu noktada da yetişkinlere yönelik yazılmış piyano metotlarını tanımaya ve kullanmaya ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu amaçla, J. Thompson'ın“The Adult Preparatory Piano Book(Book One)”kitabının incelenmesi araştırma konusu olarak ele alınmıştır. Betimsel bir yöntem kullanılan araştırmada, söz konusu metot, Prof. Dr. Ali Uçan'ın geliştirmiş olduğu“Çalgı metotlarını çağdaş öğretim programı modeline dayalı metot çözümleme yöntemiyle inceleme”yaklaşımı kullanılarak hedef ve hedef davranışlar açısından incelenmiş, gruplandırılmış, uzman görüşü alınarak belirlenmiş, Veysel Sönmez'in taksonomisine göre analiz edilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda bilişsel alana yönelik 78 hedef, 152 hedef davranış olduğu görülürken, devinişsel alana yönelik 80 hedef 181 hedef davranış olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu hedeflerin bilişsel alanda“bilgi”basamağında, devinişsel alanda ise“uyarılma”“kılavuz denetiminde yapma”ve“beceri haline getirme”basamağında olduğu görülmüştür. Kitapta yer alan eserlerin bilişsel ve devinişsel alanda çok sayıda hedef ve davranış kazandırmayı amaçladığı hem bilişsel hem de devinişsel alana yönelik hedeflerin metot genelinde ağırlıklı olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda metodun yetişkin piyano eğitiminde kullanılabilirliğinin yeterli düzeyde olduğu düşünülebilir.

Beginner piano education is an important stage in which basic behaviors are acquired for playing the piano. At this stage, the selection of a starting method suitable for the age, physical and cognitive characteristics of the student has an important role in order to achieve the desired gains. Since instrument training is generally started at a young age, most of the initial methods are prepared for this age group. However, it is observed that the number of beginner piano players increases among adults in professional and enthusiastic piano education. At this point, it is thought that there is a need to recognize and use piano methods written for adults. For this purpose, examining of J. Thompson's“The Adult Preparatory Piano Book (Book One)”was dealt with a research subject. In the study which used a discriptive method, the book in question was examined in terms of target and target behaviors, grouped and determined by taking expert opinion, using the approach of“Examination of instrument methods with method analysis method based on the contemporary curriculum model”developed by Prof.Dr. Ali Uçan. Also, it was analyzed and evaluated according to the taxonomy of Veysel Sönmez. As a result of the findings, it was determined that there were 78 targets and 152 target behaviors for the cognitive domain, while 80 targets and 181 target behaviors for the psychomotor domain. It has been observed that these goals are at the“knowledge”level in the cognitive domain, and at the“arousal”,“guided-supervised”and“making it a skill”step in the psychomotor domain. It has been seen that the works in the book aim to provide many goals and behaviors in the cognitive and psychomotor fields, and the goals for both the cognitive and psychomotor fields are dominant throughout the method. In this context, it can be thought that the usability of the method in adult piano education is at a sufficient level.
