Özet

Cerrahi yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin cerrahi alan enfeksiyonlarına yönelik bilgi ve uygulamalarını ele alan ve eğitim verilerek etkinliğini değerlendiren bir çalışma ile karşılaşılmamıştır. Cerrahi yoğun bakım hemşirelerine online verilen cerrahi alan enfeksiyonları eğitiminin etkinliğini değerlendiren tek gruplu, yarı deneysel desenli çalışma Karabük ilinde yer alan bir eğitim araştırma hastanesinde Ekim 2021-Şubat 2022 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini araştırmaya katılmaya istekli, çalışmanın yapıldığı dönemde izinli/raporlu olmayan, en az 1 yıl iş deneyimine sahip, daha önce CAE'ye yönelik eğitim almayan 50 hemşire oluşturdu. Veriler literatür doğrultusunda geliştirilen yapılandırılmış anket formu ile online eğitim öncesi, eğitimden 2 hafta, 1 ay ve 3 ay sonrasında toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Friedman test ve Spearman's Korelasyon kullanıldı. There hasn't been any research on surgical intensive care nurses' practices or awareness of surgical site infections that assesses how well training reduces infections. The effectiveness of online surgical field infections training provided to surgical intensive care nurses was examined in single-group, semi-experimental study conducted between October 2020 and February 2022 in a teaching and research hospital in Karabük. The study population consisted of 50 nurses who were willing to participate, were not on leave or had not a report at the time of the study, had at least one year of work experience, and had never been trained in CAE. A standardized questionnaire created in accordance with the literature was used to gather data prior to the online training, two weeks after, one month after, and three months after the training. The examination employed descriptive statistics in accordance with the Friedman test, and Spearman's correlation. The second week, first month, and third month following the online training saw an increase in the correct knowledge of nurses regarding CAE, which comprises pre-, intra-, and post-operative education, despite the mean score being at a moderate level (p 0.001). Again, at the third month after training, the nurses' average pre-training correct score climbed from 86.3312.65 to 95.507.61 (p0.001). There was a negative connection (r= -0.394, p 0.01; r= -0.378, p0.001; r=-0.434) between age before education, time spent working in the profession, time spent working in the intensive care unit, and the mean correct knowledge score including post-surgery. The length of time spent working in the intensive care unit prior to training and the average correct knowledge score incorporating the order of surgery were found to be negatively correlated (r= -0.362, p0.05). Given current standards, it is advised that surgical intensive care nurses should receive regular in-service training in this approach.
