Özet

198 8. SUMMARY Lipid peroxidation and antioxidants in renal transplanted patients Transplantation is most effective method to save the life of renal diseased patient. Transplantation brings some life threatening complications, although it has vital importance. Many side effects have been known of immunusupressan drugs, especially cyclosporine A. The major complications are the lipid peroxidation, increased susceptibility of LDL oxidation and development of atherosclerosis. Rejection is one of the major complication of transplanted patients. There are several reasons of rejection. One of them is the hyperlipidemia of the recipient. The LDL oxidation has been found significantly higher among the CsA treated patients those used high level of CsA, as the susceptibility of LDL to oxidation has been studied. The prooxidan effect of CsA on plazma LDL in renal transplant patients may be an important risk factor of developing atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is the most important factor of mortality and morbidity of renal transplanted patients. Our aim in this study was to determine the lipid peroxidation, LDL oxidation, plasma and red blood cell glutation, glutation peroxidase, catalase, free carnitin, p- carotene, cc-tocopherol levels and biochemical parameters in transplant patients before transplantation and CsA treatment and every 15 days after, for 2 months and compare with same results of controls. In our study blood samples have been collected from 10 patient aged 30-39, before transplantation and CsA treatment and after, at 15 days intervals, for five times. Control group was containing 11 healthy volunteers aged 19-36. Trigliseride and total cholesterol levels have been increased and HDL concentration decreased significantly after transplantation in comparison before transplantation (p
