Özet
Kur' an' da geçmiş topluluklar ve peygamberlerin başından geçen olayların anlatılmasına“Kıssa”denilmektedir. Kıssaların amacı; olaylardan ders alma, yapılabilecek muhtemel yanlışları görme ve bunlara karşı tedbir almadır. Lut Kavmi kıssası da bu amaç doğrultusunda Kur'an'da anlatılmaktadır. Toplam 16 surede geçen 116 ayet bu konuyla ilgilidir. Lut Kavmi milattan önce 2000'li yıllarda, bugünkü Lut Gölü'nün olduğu yerde yaşamıştır. En ünlü şehirleri Sodom ve Gomora'dır. Hz. Lut, İbrahim Peygamber'in yeğenidir ve ikisi çağdaştırlar. Bir süre amcasıyla birlikte yaşayan Lut Peygamber, sonradan Sodom ve Gomora'da yaşayan insanlara peygamberlik yapmak üzere gönderilmiştir. Lut Kavmi, erkek eşcinselliği ile ünlü bir topluluktur. Tevrat ve İncil'den farklı olarak Kur'an'da onların bu özelliği ön plana çıkar. Tarihte o güne kadar görülmemiş aşırılıkta eşcinselliği uygulayan bu topluluk, Peygamberlerini dinlememiştir. Aşırılık, beraberinde mutlaka bir bozulma getirir. İşte Lut kavmi de sosyal, psikolojik ve sağlık yönüyle bir bozulma yaşamıştır. Aynı zamanda ahlaki bir çöküntü de toplumda hüküm sürmektedir. Lut Peygamber, kavmini bu çöküntü ve bozulmadan kurtarmak için uğraş vermiş ama onlar peygamberlerinin bu önerilerini dinlemek bir yana Onu kovmakla tehdit etmişlerdir. Böyle direnmelerine karşı Hz. Lut kendilerini uyarmış ama onlar,“hadi geleceğini söylediğin azabı getir”diyerek azabı kendileri istemişlerdir. Sonuçta, önce İbrahim Peygamber'e gelip kendisine bir oğlu olacağını müjdeleyen elçi melekler, ardından Lut Peygamber'e gelmişler ve azabın geldiğini bildirmişlerdir. Hz. İbrahim'in azabı geri döndürme çabaları sonuç vermemiş ve kavim, toplu bir şekilde helak olmuştur. Bu azaptan sadece Hz. Lut ve karısı dışındaki ailesi kurtulmuştur. Kur'an'ın gönderildiği dönemdeki Araplara bu kıssa anlatılarak onların ibret almaları ve benzeri bir hataya düşmemeleri öğütlenmektedir. Tezde, Lut Kavminin yukarıda özetlenen yönleri ulaşılabildiğince detaylandırılmak suretiyle anlattlmıştır. Başta Kur'an olmak üzere Tevrat, İncil ve tarih kitaplarındaki rivayetler bu amaca yönelik olarak incelenmiş ve bir bütünlük içinde değerlendirilmiştir.

Explanation of past communites and event of prophets are called“Anecdote”in the Qur'an. The aims of anecdotes are to take lesson from past, to foresee probable mistakes and to take precautions for them. The anecdote of Lout's tribe is explained for these aims too. 116 verse of Qur'an placed in 16 surah are related to this anecdote. Lout's Tribe lived in a place, which there ise the Lout Lake today, 2000 B.C. The most fames cities of them were Sodom and Gomora. Prophet Lout was nephew of Prophet İbrahim (Abraham), whd is Lout's contemporary. Living with his uncle some period of time, Excellency Lout was sent to people living in Sodom and Gomora as a massenger. Lout's Tribe is famous for their gayness. Unlike New and Old Testament, this feature is emphasised in the Qur'an. This society, never seen in the history until that time that they practised their wats on men instead of women extremely, didnot obey their prophet's commads. Debauchery absolutely brings a corruption together. Thus, Lout's Tribe lived acorruption in view of social, psychologie and health. At the some time, a moral corruption was reigning in the society. Prophet Lout struggled to extricete his tribe from these corruptions but they threatened him to drive away instead of listening their prophet's advices. In spite of their resistance, ExcellencyLout warned them but they asked the torment by saying“bring us the torment which you told us before”. At last, envoy Angels, coming first to Prophet Abraham and giving him good news about having son, then come to Praphet Lout and told him that the torment would be executed goon. Excellency Abraham's struggles to stop the torment did not succeed and Lout's Tribe were destroyed. Only Excellency Lout and his family, except his wife, survived the destructien. By telling this anecdote to Arabic people, living at the time when Qur'an was sent, it is adviced to take a lesson an not to make a mistake like Lout's Tribe. In this thesis, the aspects of Lout's Tribe summarized above are explanied in detail. Mainly Qur'an, Old Testament, New Testament and rumours in the history books were examined carefully and appaised in full regarding the aim. TCt^KSTcvas m^
