Özet
Çevresel sürdürülebilirlik, konaklama sektöründe kritik bir konu haline gelmiştir. Son yıllarda Oteller, çeşitli çevre dostu uygulamaları hayata geçirerek çevresel ayak izlerini azaltmaya çalışmaktadır. Bunu başarmanın yollarından biri de çevre dostu temizlik ürünleri kullanmaktır. Ancak, en iyi çevre dostu temizlik ürününü seçmek zor olabilir, çünkü Piyasada çok sayıda ürün mevcuttur ve hangi ürünün en etkili ve çevre dostu olduğunu belirlemek zor olabilir. Bu tezde, Radisson Red Hotel'de kullanılabilecek en iyi çevre dostu temizlik ürününü belirlemeyi amaçlıyoruz. Odak noktası yalnızca temizlik ürününün etkinliği değil, aynı zamanda çevresel etkisidir. Amaç, hem temizlikte etkili hem de çevresel olarak sürdürülebilir bir ürün bulmaktır. Tez iki bölüme ayrılmıştır. İlk bölümde, konaklama sektöründe çevresel sürdürülebilirlik ve çevre dostu temizlik ürünleri kullanmanın önemi hakkında bir arka plan sunuyoruz. Ayrıca, piyasada bulunan farklı çevre dostu temizlik ürünlerini ve bunların çevresel etkilerini inceliyoruz. Ek olarak, otel personelinin ve misafirlerin sağlığını ve güvenliğini tehlikeye atacak en iyi ürünü seçmek için kriterlerin ne olacağını tartıştık. Çevre dostu temizlik ürünlerini değerlendirmek için kullanılacak kriterleri, örneğin ürünün temizlikteki etkinliği, çevresel etkisi ve maliyet etkinliği gibi ana hatlarıyla belirttik. Ayrıca, farkındalık eksikliği, çevre dostu ürünlerin maliyeti ve güvenilir tedarikçiler bulmanın zorluğu gibi, otelcilik sektöründe çevre dostu uygulamaları uygulamayla ilişkili kısıtlamaları ve zorlukları da araştırıyoruz. İkinci bölümde, araştırmamızın sonuçlarını sunuyoruz. Otel personeliyle bir görüşme yaptık ve potansiyel otel misafirleriyle bir anket yaparak otel seçerken tercihlerini ve otel sürdürülebilirliği hakkındaki görüşlerini belirledik. Ayrıca, mevcut çevre dostu temizlik ürünlerini inceledik ve bunları ikinci bölümde belirtilen kriterlere göre değerlendirdik. Toplanan verilere dayanarak, Radisson Red Hotel'de kullanılabilecek en iyi çevre dostu temizlik ürününü belirledik. Genel olarak, bu tez, otelcilik sektöründe çevre dostu temizlik ürünlerinin seçimine ilişkin değerli bilgiler sağlar. Bu araştırmanın bulguları diğer oteller ve konaklama tesisleri tarafından etkili ve çevresel olarak sürdürülebilir temizlik uygulamalarının uygulanmasında kullanılabilir.

Environmental sustainability has become a critical issue in the hospitality industry. In recent years, hotels have been trying to reduce their environmental footprint by implementing various eco-friendly practices. One of the ways to achieve this is by using eco-friendly cleaning products. However, choosing the best eco-friendly cleaning product can be challenging, as there are numerous products available on the market, and it can be difficult to determine which product is the most effective and environmentally friendly. In this thesis, we aim to identify the best eco-friendly cleaning product that can be used in the Radisson Red Hotel. The focus is not only on the effectiveness of the cleaning product, but also on its environmental impact. The aim is to find a product that is both effective at cleaning and environmentally sustainable. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, we provide a background on environmental sustainability in the hospitality industry and the importance of using eco-friendly cleaning products. We also review the different types of eco-friendly cleaning products available on the market and their environmental impact. Additionally, we discussed what the criteria would be to choose the best product for the hotel to compromise the health and safety of the hotel staff and guests. We outline the criteria that will be used to evaluate eco-friendly cleaning products, such as the product's effectiveness in cleaning, its environmental impact, and its cost-effectiveness. We also explore the constraints and challenges associated with implementing eco-friendly practices in the hospitality industry, such as the lack of awareness, the cost of eco-friendly products, and the difficulty of finding reliable suppliers. In the second part, we present the results of our research. We conducted an interview with hotel staff and survey with potential hotel guests to determine their preferences when choosing a hotel and their opinions on hotel sustainability. We also conducted a review of the available eco-friendly cleaning products and evaluated them based on the criteria outlined in the second part. Based on the data collected, we identified the best eco-friendly cleaning product that can be used in the Radisson Red Hotel. Generally, this thesis provides valuable insights into the selection of eco-friendly cleaning products in the hospitality industry. The findings of this research can be used by other hotels and hospitality establishments to implement effective and environmentally sustainable cleaning practices.
