Dr. Nurullah GENÇ Prof. Dr. Dursun BİNGÖL Prof. Dr. Muammer YAYLALI Bu araştırmada, stres düzeyleri yüksek olarak bilinen polislik mesleğinde, strese neden olan etkenler ve stresin iş verimliliği ve iş tatmini üzerindeki etkisi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Genelde polislerin, özelde ise Erzurum Emniyet müdürlüğünde görevli polislerin gerek hizmetin şartlarından gerekse teşkilatın yapısından kaynaklanan etkenlerden dolayı oldukça yüksek düzeyli strese maruz kaldıkları, ancak hissedilen stresin iş tatminine ve verimliliğine etkisinin çok az olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Prof. Dr. Nurullah GENÇ Prof. Dr. Dursun BİNGÖL Prof. Dr. Muammer YAYLALI The aimof this research is to examine the sources of stress and the effects of stress on productivity and satisfaction in the occupation as police of wich the stress level is know to be high. The police is in general and especially en Erzurum, under great strss because of its structure and service conditions but it is defined that the effect of this stress on productivity and satisfaction is minimal. İt s supposed that there is a negative relation betwen satisfaction and stress and that the satisfaction declines. With the rise of stress in fact, our research improves this hypothesis.
