Özet

Bu çalışmamız, sistematik bir bütünlük içerisinde Hilmi Ziya Ülken'in ahlak felsefesini, ahlak anlayışını ve kavramlarını detaylı inceleme amacı ile çalışılmıştır. Ahlak konusu, insanlığın varoluşundan bu yana felsefe, edebiyat, sosyoloji ve psikoloji gibi birçok alanda düşünürlerin fikir beyan ettiği bir problem olmuştur. Tutkusu felsefe olan Hilmi Ziya Ülken, Cumhuriyet tarihimizin fikir ve düşünce hayatını neredeyse elli yılını tek başına doldurmuş bir düşünürümüz olarak, ahlak alanı ile ilgilenmiştir. Ülken'e göre, kişinin ruhtan gelen güçlü bir duygu ile istemesi ve onun öne sürdüğü mertebelerden geçtiği taktirde aşk ahlakına ulaşabileceğini belirtmektedir. Bir kurtuluş olan aşk ahlakına ulaşmaya çalışan insanın ruhunun yıkılışından kaynaklı tembellik, sabırsızlık, kayıtsızlık ve korkaklık gibi belalardan uzak durması gerekir. Bununla birlikte ruhun saldırışından doğan dedikodu, yalan, kibir, kin ve zorbalık belalarından uzak durarak, mertebelerden geçtiği taktirde aşk ahlakına ulaşılabileceğini aktarır. Ülken'in mertebeleri ise; ilk olarak Halk mertebesidir. Bu mertebede, eylemlerinde korkudan kaynaklanan zorunlu bir ahlaklılık vardır. İkinci mertebede ise, insan vatandaş mertebesidir. Bu mertebede insan daha yaşanabilir bir ideal için ümit ahlakıyla hareket eder. Üçüncü mertebe ise, insani vatansever mertebesidir. Bu mertebede yaşamış olduğu toplum tarafından yüceltilmek ve bununla gurur duymak amacı ile ahlaki davranışının kaynağı gururdur. Son mertebe ise insani vatansever mertebesidir. Bu mertebede insan davranışları içten gelen ve bir duygu olan aşk ile gerçekleştirmektedir. İnsani vatansever ahlakı aşk ahlakıdır. Aşk ahlakı ile insan davranışları herhangi bir amaçtan bağımsız ve içten gelen saf bir duygu ile gerçekleştirmiş olacaktır. Bu da insanın, ahlaki davranışlarının sürekliliğine neden olmasını sağlayacaktır.

This study was conducted with the aim of examining Hilmi Ziya Ülken's moral philosophy, moral understanding and concepts in detail within a systematic integrity. The issue of morality has been a problem on which thinkers in many fields such as philosophy, literature, sociology and psychology have expressed their opinions since the existence of humanity. Hilmi Ziya Ülken, whose passion was philosophy, was interested in the field of ethics as a thinker who single-handedly completed almost fifty years of the intellectual and thought life of our Republic's history. According to Ülken, a person can reach the morality of love if he wishes it with a strong feeling coming from the soul and passes through the stages suggested by it. A person who tries to attain the morality of love, which is salvation, must stay away from troubles such as laziness, impatience, indifference and cowardice, which are the causes of the destruction of his soul. However, he conveys that the morality of love can be reached if one passes through the stages and stays away from the calamities of gossip, lies, arrogance, hatred and tyranny, which arise from the attack of the soul. The levels of Ülken are; firstly, the level of the People. In this level, there is a compulsory morality in their actions that stems from fear. The second level is the level of a human citizen. At this level, a person acts with the morality of hope for a more livable ideal. The third level is the level of a human patriot. At this level, the source of his moral behavior is pride, in order to be glorified by the society in which he lives and to be proud of it. The last level is the human patriot level. At this level, people perform their actions with love, which is an emotion that comes from within. The humanitarian patriotic morality is the morality of love. With the morality of love, human behavior will be independent of any purpose and will be carried out with a pure feeling coming from within. This will ensure that people continue to behave morally.
