Özet
Psikoloji literatürüne bakıldığında, içe dönük ve dışa dönük kişilik yapılarını konu alan pek çok araştırmaya rastlanmaktadır. Söz konusu araştırmalarda içe dönük ve dışa dönük bireylerin farklı biçimlerde düşünme ve davranma eğiliminde oldukları gösterilmiştir. Bu çalışmada içe dönük ve dışa dönük 62 deneğin üç ayrı nöropsikolojik testteki zihinsel performanslarına bakılmış ve zihinsel süreçleri arasında bir fark olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. İçe/dışa dönüklük kavramları Eysenck'in Kişilik Teorisi kapsamında ele alınmış, denekler Eysenck Kişilik Envanteri uygulanarak daha büyük bir örneklemin içinden seçilmişlerdir. Deneklere uygulanan testlerden ilki; sözel belleği konu alan Mantıksal Bellek Testi (Logical Memory Test)'dir. İkincisi görsel algı ile el becerisinin birlikte kullanılmasını gerektiren psikomotor öğrenmeyi konu alan FLT Testidir. Sonuncusu ise uygun olmayan cevap eğiliminin inhibisyonunu gerektiren bir görevde ortaya çıkan erterferans etkisini ölçen Stroop Testi'dir. Testlerden elde edilen verilere t testi ve Mann-Whitney U testi uygulanmıştır. İçedönük ve dışa dönük denekler bu testlerdeki performansları açısısından beklenen hiçbir farklılaşmayı göstermemişlerdir. Elde edilen sonuçlar tartışılmıştır.

When looking at the psychology literature, many studies on introverted and extroverted personality structures are found. These studies have shown that introverted and extroverted individuals tend to think and behave in different ways. In this study, the mental performances of 62 introverted and extroverted subjects in three separate neuropsychological tests were examined and it was investigated whether there was a difference between their mental processes. The concepts of introversion and extroversion were addressed within the context of Eysenck's Personality Theory, and subjects were selected from a larger sample using the Eysenck Personality Inventory. The first of the tests administered to the subjects was the Logical Memory Test, which measures verbal memory. The second was the FLT Test, which measures psychomotor learning, which requires the combined use of visual perception and manual dexterity. The last was the Stroop Test, which measures the interference effect that occurs in a task requiring the inhibition of inappropriate response tendency. The t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were applied to the data obtained from the tests. Introverted and extroverted subjects did not show any expected differences in their performance on these tests. The results are discussed.
