Özet
Bu çalışma, lise öğrencilerinin beden algıları, beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ve bu iki değişken arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nicel veri toplama yöntemlerinden biri olan ilişkisel tarama modeliyle yürütülen bu çalışma, 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Gaziantep ilinde 7 farklı lise türünde eğitim görmekte olan 763 öğrencinin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada örneklem belirleme yöntemi olarak basit rastgele örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Beden İmajı Ölçeği ve Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Dersi Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Beden eğitimi ve spor dersi tutum ölçeğinden elde edilen verilerin analizinde cinsiyet değişkenine göre Bağımsız Örneklem T-Testi diğer değişkenler için ise One-Way ANOVA kullanılmıştır. One-Way ANOVA testi sonucunda ortaya çıkan farklılıkların tespiti için ise Tukey analizi yapılmıştır. Beden eğitimi ve spor dersine ilişkin tutum ile beden algısı arasındaki ilişkinin analizi için Pearson's Korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Bütün analizler JASP paket programı ile yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda ulaşılan bulgulara göre katılımcıların beden eğitimi ve spor dersi tutum puanları cinsiyet, beden kitle indeksi, okul, not ortalaması değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşırken yaş, sınıf, anne ve baba eğitim durumu değişkenlerine göre farklılaşmadığı görülmüştür. Lise öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik olumlu tutuma sahip olduğu, beden algılarının da orta düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutum ile beden algısı arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişki olduğuna işaret etmektedir. Beden algısının beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutum üzerinde etkili olabilecek bir faktör olabileceği değerlendirilmektedir.

This study was conducted to examine high school students' body perceptions, their attitudes toward the physical education and sports course, and the relationship between these two variables. The study employed a relational screening model, which is one of the quantitative data collection methods, and was carried out during the 2023–2024 academic year with the participation of 763 students studying in seven different types of high schools in the province of Gaziantep. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling method. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, the Body Image Scale, and the Physical Education and Sports Course Attitude Scale. The data obtained from the physical education and sports course attitude scale were analyzed using the Independent Samples T-Test for the gender variable and One-Way ANOVA for other variables. Tukey analysis was conducted to determine the source of the differences identified through the One-Way ANOVA test. Pearson's Correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship between attitudes toward the physical education and sports course and body image. All analyses were performed using the JASP statistical software package. The results indicated that participants' attitude scores toward the physical education and sports course differed significantly according to gender, body mass index, school type, and grade point average, whereas no significant differences were found according to age, grade level, or parents' educational status. It was determined that high school students generally held positive attitudes toward the physical education and sports course and had moderate perceptions of their body image. The analyses also indicated a significant relationship between attitudes toward the physical education and sports course and body image, suggesting that body image may be a factor affecting students' attitudes toward the course.
