Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, fen bilimleri eğitiminde eğitsel oyunların öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, fen bilimleri dersine yönelik tutum ve motivasyonları üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı deneysel desenden faydalanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini; 2024-2025 eğitim öğretim yılında Hatay ili Belen ilçesine bağlı bir devlet okulunda öğrenim görmekte olan 6. sınıfta okuyan 19'u kontrol grubu, 19'u da deney grubu olmak üzere toplam 38 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Çalışma süresince, 7 hafta boyunca ″Ses ve Özellikleri″ ünitesini deney grubunda eğitsel oyunlarla öğretim, kontrol grubunda ise eğitim öğretim programının ön gördüğü öğretim yöntemiyle öğretilmiştir. Çalışmada veri toplama araçları olarak ″Ses ve Özellikleri Başarı Testi (SÖBT)″, ″Fen Öğrenmeye Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği (FÖYMÖ)″ ve ″Fene Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (FYTÖ)″ kullanılmıştır. Ölçeklerden SÖBT, FÖYMÖ ve FYTÖ deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulama sürecinde ön test ve son test olmak üzere iki defa uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ilk başta betimsel istatistik araştırılmıştır. Sonrasında ise İlişkisiz Örneklem T Testi ve İlişkili Örneklem T Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 paket veri programı kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada SÖBT, FÖYMÖ ve FYTÖ testinin deney ve kontrol grubunun ön test ve son test verileri normal dağılım göstermiştir. Bundan dolayı deney grubu ve kontrol grubunda ön test son test verilerinin incelenmesinde bağımsız örneklem t testi, hem deney hem de kontrol grubunun ön testlerinin ve son testlerinin analizinde bağımlı örneklem t testi uygulanmıştır. Çalışma öncesinde öğrencilerin akademik bilgilerinin birbirine denk olduğu, deney grubu ve kontrol grubunda öğrencilerin akademik bilgilerinin artırıldığı ve deney grubunda akademik bilgilerinin daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin fene öğrenmeye yönelik motivasyonlarının ise deney ve kontrol grubunun çalışma öncesinde birbirine denk olduğu, deney grubu ve kontrol grubunda kullanılan yöntemlerin öğrencilerin motivasyonlarını artırdığını ancak deney grubunun kontrol grubuna kıyasla motivasyonlarında daha fazla artış olduğu görülmektedir. Öğrencilerin fene yönelik tutumlarının çalışma öncesinde deney ve kontrol grubunda birbirine denk olduğu görülmüştür. Deney grubunda yapılan çalışma ile kontrol grubunda yapılan çalışmaların öğrencilerin tutumlarında ilerleme kaydettiklerini her iki grupta da tutumlarının birbirine denk oldukları görülmektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of educational games on students' academic achievement, attitudes, and motivation toward the science course in science education. In the study, a quasi-experimental design, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was utilized. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 38 sixth-grade students studying at a public school in the Belen district of Hatay province during the 2024-2025 academic year, with 19 students in the control group and 19 in the experimental group. During the study period, which lasted for 7 weeks, the unit“Sound and Its Properties”was taught using educational games in the experimental group, while in the control group it was taught using the instructional method prescribed by the curriculum. As data collection tools, the“Sound and Its Properties Achievement Test (SÖBT),”the“Motivation Scale for Learning Science (FÖYMÖ),”and the“Attitude Scale Toward Science (FYTÖ)”were used. These scales SÖBT, FÖYMÖ, and FYTÖ were administered to both the experimental and control groups twice during the implementation process, as pre-tests and post-tests. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics were first examined. Then, Independent Samples T-Test and Paired Samples T-Test were used. For the analysis of the quantitative data obtained in the research, the SPSS 22.0 statistical software package was used. In the study, the pre-test and post-test data of the SÖBT, FÖYMÖ, and FYTÖ tests for both the experimental and control groups showed a normal distribution. Therefore, Independent Samples T-Test was used to examine the pre-test and post-test data of the experimental and control groups, and Paired Samples T-Test was applied to analyze both the pre-tests and post-tests of the experimental and control groups. Before the study, students' academic knowledge was found to be equivalent; academic achievement increased in both the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group showing higher performance. Motivation levels were also equivalent before the study; both methods enhanced motivation, but the increase was greater in the experimental group. Students' attitudes toward science were initially similar; activities in both groups led to improvement, and final attitudes remained comparable.
