Özet
Bu araştırmada besteci Sergei S. Prokofiev'in çocuklar ve gençler için bestelemiş olduğu piyano eserlerinin müzikal ve teknik yönlerini ortaya koymak ve bu eserlerdeki Yeni Klasikçilik akımının izlerini tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Prokofiev'in tüm piyano eserleri, örneklemini ise çocuklar ve gençler için bestelemiş olduğu 5 piyano albümü içerisinde yer alan toplamda 33 parça oluşturmaktadır. İncelenen eserler sırasıyla Piyano için 10 Parça, Op 12; Büyükannenin Masalları, Op. 31; Piyano için 4 Parça, Op. 32; 3 Parça, Op. 59 ve Çocuklar için Müzik, Op. 65 dir. Bu eserlerin alt problemler çerçevesinde analizi sürecinde doküman analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Her bir eser ritim, form yapısı, müzikal karakter, ezgisel ve armonik yapı, besteleme tekniği, tonalite ve teknik zorluklar açısından analiz edilmiştir. Ardından parçaların zorluk seviyeleri, ünlü Amerikan piyano pedagogu Prof. Dr. Jane Magrath (2015)'ın Pianists Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literature (Piyanistler için Standart Öğretim ve Performans Repertuvarı Rehberi) başlıklı kitabında yer alan seviye tablosu referans alınarak belirlenmiştir. Seviye tablosuna ait her bir seviye araştırmacı tarafından daha açık ve anlaşılır biçimde düzenlenmiştir. Oluşturulan tablonun uygunluğunu ve parçaların tablodaki seviyelerle uyumluluğunu değerlendirmek amacıyla piyano eğitimi alanında üç uzmanın görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Birden 10'a kadar çeşitli zorluklarda bestelenmiş olduğu görülen parçaların birçok müzikal ve teknik beceriyi de içerisinde barındırdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca yirminci yüzyıl müzikal akımlarından Yeni Klasikçilik akımının önemli bir temsilcisi olan Prokofiev'in çocuklar ve gençler için bestelemiş olduğu piyano eserlerinin de genelinde Yeni Klasikçilik akımının belirgin izlerine rastlanmıştır. Dolayısıyla, Prokofiev'in çocuk ve genç yaş düzeyine uygun ve ayrıca Yeni Klasikçilik akımının en güzel örneklerini oluşturan bu eserlerin analiz edilmesi ile bunların piyano eğitiminde kolayca kullanılması ve piyano eğitim müziği dağarcığına yeni bir nefes getirmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the musical and technical aspects of composer Sergei S. Prokofiev's piano works written for children and young people and to identify the traces of the Neoclassicism movement in these works. The case study model, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The population of the study consists of all of Prokofiev's piano works, while the sample consists of a total of 33 pieces included in 5 piano albums composed for children and young people. The works examined are respectively: 10 Pieces for Piano, Op. 12; Tales of an Old Grandmother, Op. 31; 4 Pieces for Piano, Op. 32; 3 Pieces, Op. 59; and Music for Children, Op. 65. In the process of analyzing these works within the framework of sub-problems, document analysis method was employed. Each work was analyzed in terms of rhythm, form structure, musical character, melodic and harmonic structure, compositional technique, tonality, and technical difficulties. Then, the difficulty levels of the pieces were determined by referencing the level chart in the book Pianists Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literature (2015) by the famous American piano pedagogue Prof. Dr. Jane Magrath. Each level of the chart was rearranged by the researcher in a clearer and more understandable way. In order to evaluate the appropriateness of the created chart and the compatibility of the pieces with the levels in the chart, the opinions of three experts in the field of piano education were consulted. It was concluded that the pieces, composed at various difficulty levels ranging from one to ten, also encompass many musical and technical skills. In addition, it was found that the piano works Prokofiev composed for children and young people, as one of the most important representatives of the Neoclassicism movement of the twentieth century, also bear significant traces of the Neoclassicism movement in general. Therefore, by analyzing these works, which are both suitable for the age level of children and young people and also constitute some of the finest examples of the Neoclassicism movement, it is aimed that they can be easily used in piano education and bring a new breath to the repertoire of piano teaching music.
